Re: Project two tone.
sometimes just gettin' her out and cleaning her up is progress. kinda motivates the next phase... if your next phase is paint and body, hang in there, its a long and slow ride... but you can do it.

Re: Project two tone.
Hey T.J. the 292 guru, answer me a question, On the harmonic balancer is there a small shim or real thin piece about 2" long and prolly the diameter of the backside of balancer, My kit for the gasket set came with one and I didn't really know what it was for, my brother seemed to think it went on the backside of balancer,But when I had it off I don't remember seeing one. anywho I have a really bad oil leak down in that area, just wondering...

Re: Project two tone.
No that's not the one I replaced that one that goes in the timing cover, this was almost like a shim very thin he seemed to think that it went on the backside of balancer. I'll try to get a pix if I still have it...

Re: Project two tone.
Boy, I'm sure my 292 didn't have that either....my machinist didn't mention anything, and I'm the one that got all the spare parts in the gasket set. Not sure on that one Randy. I'll put a post up at the Inliner's site and see what the "experts" say. lol I don't fall quite into that category yet. haha

Re: Project two tone.
Well, like I had mentioned earlier....when the weather got better I would start getting some work done. So, I got out this morning and started taking some small stuff apart in the cab. Then I went and got my ears lowered. Get home and I got the doors off, and I have a ton of clean up to do; but the cab is looking very promising. There is another one not far from me I may snag that's already stripped down and just needs to be sanded (from what I can see) that I may take a gander at, but for now I'm taking this one down to bare bones and we'll see from there. More updates to come soon guys; long as this nice weather keeps holding and so does my energy. lol

Re: Project two tone.
Hey guys! Well things have started really slow this year. My schooling has been very stressful and taken up most of my spare time. And I have been working 5 and 6 days a week as well. Once school is out and that burden is off my shoulders I'll Finally be working full time and be able to get going on this again. Been wanting to get out and do something, but it's hard to get motivated when your tired and brain dead. haha! Anyhow! I have worked on the cab since the last update, and haven't had a chance to get pics; but I did get a new part for the 292. Billet alternator bracket. Not sure if I'm going to paint it or not. We'll see! Here's some pictures and hopefully this weekend I'll get a little truck time in. Until then....later guys!

Re: Project two tone.
I know exactly what you mean with the school thing tj. It has been very stressful for me lately as well and the only reason I'm able to get in some truck time is because I haven't been working many hours lately. Hang in there and summer will be here in no time. Oh and I think bare aluminum would look good
