My UPS guy went to HS with my wife and our kids go to school together. When he sees her he asks, "Is your husband done with that truck yet? Everything he gets is heavy!"

Lol you didn't miss much, just me changing my mind a thousand times on just about everything. I haven't made any progress since last October due to many setbacks in my life that were out of my control but I'm ready to get at it hard this spring/summer and try to make up for all the time I lost. Part of the reason I decided to change over to the Porterbuilt dropmembers was because I figured I lost so much time on the build I might as well take it apart and do what I wanted from the beginning. If I was working on it consistently since last October I would have probably left the suspension the way it was because I wouldn't have wanted to take it apart and it would have been close to be painted. As it is now I'll be lucky to be ready for paint by the winter.

Regardless it looks cool and if it takes longer it'll just be that much more what you're really wanting, I'm 3years and a bit in now and my original plan was under a year splash and dash hahaha

Re: Project "What was I Thinking" 68 SWB

A very nice member of this forum sent me over a rendering he did of my truck for inspiration. I'm not going to mention his name (he knows he is lol) as I don't want everybody to bombard him with pm's. It was a very nice gesture and nice people like him is why I love this forum and spend a lot of my day on it. This rendering is a lot nicer than the one I posted up a couple days ago and is pretty close to the final outcome of my truck except for the wheels, even though looking at these makes me wish I didn't sell the Vintecs And after seeing the truck with side trim I am sold on keeping the trim on it. Guess I'll be hitting up mar-k for some new side trim. Anyways here is the rendering let me know what you guys think.

well part of my problem is that my truck is located at my brothers garage which is a 60 mile round trip from my house. He has the space, tools & welder that I don't have to complete this build. I really only have the weekend to work on it, but I will carve out sometime on Monday for it if I don't get the rear done this weekend.
