Re: Die-cast 67-72

Really?Tell us more about it.It`s plastic, right? Is it HO scale or bigger?Any markings on the bottom?

I don`t like the wheels or the red anodizing on that`83 either. But,I`ll take some apart and change all that.I haven`t bought a blue`62 because I hate that gold anodizing.

It's plastic, the bottom has "the lindberg line" and "camper-22" written on it. I found it in a messy display case at an antique store for $2. It's a little smaller than a hot wheel. Heres a pic in the gallery.

They also go by the name of MINI-LINDY. They were marketed towards the H.O. crowd.

Re: Die-cast 67-72

I added a couple to my colletcion the other day. They were on sale at Harbor Freight ($11 ea). Only 1 GM, but I liked the looks of them and the two are odd, at least to me, so I had to have them.

1952 Chevy
1938 Studebaker
1957 Dodge Fargo

They are all 1/24 and made by Liberty Classics.

That looks good Tim. Here is my Christmas haul.

If anyone needs the blazer/tractor set, I can get them through the local farm implement.

Re: Die-cast 67-72

Quick question...on the Jada Dub city trucks, how do I go about switching wheels? I want to put the TT looking rims from a red one I have onto a blue one that has lowrider wire wheels right now. Thanks in advance!

That low rider one is not a jada and has a different scale and wheel base. One guy here made the switch using a different 4x4 model. I think he said it was a ford explorer and he did a little cutting to make it fit, and the chassis was held with just one screw. For the jada chassis switch, just unscrew the screws and switch the chassis. Simple as can be.

I found one of those w/o the flames. That`s the first error one I`ve ever had. It`s a good error, too.Just doesn`t have flames.
Check through all the pages if you haven`t.That`s what this is all about. All the various replicas.

Re: Die-cast 67-72

Here's a few pics for ya Tim. First is a 72 GMC step converted to a Chevy.

Last is one I'm building of my 90 Blazer. I have 2.5 hours just converting the 83 GMC grill to a 90 Chevy grill.

Those aren't diecast, correct? Just guessing they're plastic models?

I have one I need to post a pic of to see if anybody can guess what it is, (or started out as). It's the only one I have left out of about 50 I assembled as a kid.

I like the blazer in the background. (Camo'd one.) Good work on the others too.
