Thought you might like one of this nice truck without the wires. If not, just dump it.

Alternatively, you could take a piece of aluminum and bang out a cover that, again, the trim could hide the edges of. Send that cover out to get chromed.

That's a good looking 72, not used to seeing sidepipes, thought they were step bars, I do like them though.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
Since we found each other: All new fluids, Wix air and oil filters, Splitfire plugs, a little engine degreasing, new door lock tumblers (didn't come with door keys , new passenger side mirror and window crank, front shocks.
Soon to come: My Aunt is giving me some 20's off her Bimmer, so 5x5 to 120 adapter/spacers and a drop. Thinking spindles/springs for a 4.5" front and DJM flip kit/ shackle for a 6" rear. I want to clean up the originals...they've been poorly rattle canned and are peeling

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
Here are a few shots I took the other day in front of some hangars at a closed Air Force Base. It looks good from 50 feet. The blue ralley's are painted the original color of the truck. Someday the rest of the truck will match.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
new to the board. (but lurking for the whole summer)
dad had '70 & '72 c10's, sold em when i wasnt looking 20 yrs ago. i worked 30 extra hours per week this summer to get this truck plus some little budget to make it mine. most of my questions are answered here (thanks), but i may need some clarification now and then. (thanks for this too) that pic is flattering. not sure of the paint, but it doesnt look like auto paint to me. |

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
Hi there. Very nice gmc. Could you please tell me if you have lifted this truck, and what size tires and rims are installed in this pic? I am wondering if 33 inch will fit with a 2.5 inch spring lift. Thanks! Cam

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
Oops. I thought I was posting to srvivor71 about his green gmc. I have a '72 Jimmy 4wd, with a '72 GMC cab and short flatdeck. I'm new to this site, or any site and am obviously doing it wrong!
