Re: How about some pics of 2wd Blazers, Jimmy's & Burbs?

lovin all the 'burbs i have wanted a lowered square 2wd 1/2 ton almost as long as i've wanted a square short bed. i almost got a 'burb 2 years ago (i have a rather sizable fam lol) but the wife talked me into gettin a mini van (better mpg) so i settled on a really solid 95 safari. i dont hate it but it could use some work and def lackin that "cool" factor so rather than fixin the van im thinkin of findin a decent square 'burb to sorta match my 84 sb. my two primary concerns are the mpg,and how much work is involved in takin the rear seats out "if" i need to. do they just bolt in? as for the mpg issue, i do plan to have headers & duels and somethin with f.e. would be nice. any chance some of u 'burb guys can give me some real mpg figures?

The back seats fold down flat and the 3rd row of seats bolt in

Here's my $500 bucket...

...that earned a special place in my heart and became the Convertiburb:

I was going to thrash it for a summer, take the running gear, then scrap the rest, but the thing is just so much fun! So instead, I'm working on making it a better driver before summer, installing a stereo, and finishing the exhaust.

Willowrun - I was watching that one too! Price was right, and it sure is solid.
But to answer your question.. I haven't gotten a chance to bring the front down. I put the Belltech Nitro 2 drop shocks and some lowered coils, but it actually looks like it brought it up about .25" from where it was with my stock spring with the flat coil cut. By now, I'm used to it and I kinda dig the "bulldog" look. Im thinking I will leave it til I take everything apart and bag it. Which probably isn't anytime soon.
I would say do the flip. Never too low

Here's a pic of mine from the other day..

Thanks for the info/advice. One more thing if you don't mind, do you have 2 1/2" or 3" drop spindles?
Thanks!

Re: How about some pics of 2wd Blazers, Jimmy's & Burbs?

Thanks, maybe one day I will actually get it lowered and ready to drive a little bit. Like we usually do, I start too many things at once-- with two or three of mine and then something for the wife to drive and couple of kids cars. It's hard to keep up with all of it.

I have had this blazer for almost six years and the most I have driven it was when I drove it 30 miles home after buying it. Engine was knocking, transmission was slipping bad and everything that could leak was leaking lol. I don't think the inside had ever seen a vacuum either.
