Re: What did you do to your truck today part III

Mine is more of what I made my truck do, vs what did I do to my truck...

Helped a good buddy move. Crazy how comfy my Panel is with a load in it...

Shook My kid up at 4:20 and drove home from LA in the Truck. That was about 400 miles. This is the only picture I got from the Brothers Truck Show.

Got the hood, grill support and both inner fenders back from the media blaster. Then proceeded to spray out the pieces with epoxy primer. Now I remember why I don't do painting.

Today I got my exhaust tucked up better, and lowered the torsion front about 4 inches.

Here are some comparison pics:

Like the new stance, and the logo looks awesome.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III

Ordered the Altman Easy Latch kit and some new Door Hinge sets.
Cleaned up and arranged the sheet metal in the shop. Put together the parts that need media blasting. Getting ready to remove the cab from the frame to cut out the 3-speed cross-member and rear trans cross member, may have to get a welding guy in here with a torch though.

I ground off the rivets to remove mine. Wasn't too bad of a job. Plenty of room to work the crossmember out once the rivets are gone.

Well Yesterday I removed the body (engine hoist) and ground off all the rivets on the two offending cross members. Wow.
Now for the rear bump stops and maybe the trailing arm cross member.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III

Bought this stuff from someone parting out his project. He bought the parts in 2005.
CPP Aluminum tank
CPP Master cylinder and booster
CPP 5 lug rotors
CPP Calipers
Tubular upper and lower control arms (look like Western Chassis)
Trailing arms that I have yet to identify (the guy thought it was all CPP but it's not)

I'm not sure if I'm going to use the lower control arms because the spring bucket looks a little low. The Western website doesn't say anything about these being drop control arms so I'll have to look into it. Got a good package deal price so I couldn't say no.

organized and marked more baggies full of bolts, screws and stuff. I did manage to bolt my fan to the fan clutch today. Too much on the honey-do list but I will give old betty some time tomorrow if the weather cooperates.
