Re: Die-cast 67-72

Well I started goofing around with the Lexan bodies I bought today. I had some spear time and didn't feel like messing with the real thing so I began playing with this one.
I said I was going to build a custom frame, here is the beginning of it. This is just a trail run. I need to buy some more plastic tubes and such for it. The motor top is just to see if it was the right scale, it's a little big don't you think!

After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

That would go well with Wonder Woman's invisable plane.

Re: Die-cast 67-72

I plan on doing this one like my real truck. As far as painting the body. The rest I'll do as I go. I don't know if I'll use the blower or not yet!

I`m catching your drift,man.I`m diggin`where you`re comin`from.
I know what`s going to happen. You`ll get this thing built, ala blower. You`ll run that thing around some parking lots and start imagining your truck with a huge blower out the hood and how cool it would be.Then...

Re: Die-cast 67-72

I haven't read the whole thread since that would take forever, so I don't know if Outback has been mentioned. But I just bought a silver and black Jada High Roller and the flat black Von Dutch from Outback truck parts in Spring, right north of Houston, TX. He has a pretty decent selection of other diecast and stuff. And pretty good prices on parts for the real thing.

Re: Die-cast 67-72

You might check with someone that sells the resin hoods/grills and other resin parts. I need 3 or 4 pairs for mine.

Re: Die-cast 67-72

Does anyone have the complete list of Malibu International C10s?

I have the Loc Riders Blue one, the 20TIS White/Red/Black one, the 1/87 Dazed and Confused, the 1/64 Dazed and Confused and the 1/24 Dazed and Confused.

I think I'm only missing the White/Green/Black 20TIS one. If anyone is looking to off-load one let me know

Re: Die-cast 67-72

This past weekend I hit a few fleamarket/collector places, and picked up 2.

the small black one is a '72 short stepper from Zee, P338

the large green one is a repainted light blue GMC from Ertl. Ertl decals are just painted over on the doors....

Mountain Rescue shown for size reference....
