I know of a really good place here in DFW but not sure about their current load or even how far away it is for you. They do good work though. It's dusold designs in Lewisville if its worth looking into

Fingers crossed probably is not what you need right now, but I wish you good fortune in finding the right people to keep this truck on track.
I for one also understand the whole "family before toys" ethos, even if I think it sometimes sucks. So I hope your buddy gets his life sorted out, regardless of the trucks progress, breakups are never good.

Started getting all the exhaust mocked up last night. We are running all Flowmaster 3 inch stainless pipe and Flowmaster 40's.

Man that's gonna look nice, are you planning to MIG or TIG the joints. Any coating on the exhaust pipes after mock up?

Re: Slosh Tubz SEMA 2015 Build "BOOSTED BERTHA"

Not sure if you've used Jet Hot before but my experience with them and their product has been great. They coated a set of headers for my '06 Silverado in Silver Luster and after 5 years and about 60K miles they still look pretty good. This was a daily driver truck too so it got put to the test.

I was curious on the welding, when I get to that stage I'm going to give it a shot with MIG and see what happens. I don't have the TIG equipment.

I didn't think that you could weld stainless with a regular mig welder but I stand corrected, I did it last night and it welds just fine !

Re: Slosh Tubz SEMA 2015 Build "BOOSTED BERTHA"

Yeah just switch to stainless wire and let it rip. I've done a bunch of structural stainless at work but never tried to tackle stainless exhaust tubing. Glad it worked out for ya, gonna look great.

Re: Slosh Tubz SEMA 2015 Build "BOOSTED BERTHA"

Totally pumped about this....I know its little but it seems like a huge turning point in the build to finally see some color ! My friend Rick Shull shot some of the great Valspar Automotive paint on the Engine, trans and several of the suspension components !

Next up tonight, finish the fab work on the frame so I can get it to Clem to get it all smoothed out !

Looks good Mike! Is that the Medium Fawn color that was stock on the interiors?
