I understand that these types of thing are scams but what do you think people are trying to achieve by posting these fake deals?

I always wonder that myself....I guess "a fool and his money are soon parted" and "there is a sucker born every minute."
I know someone who fell for something like this once...but was for $125k in city government money...fortunately for him and the city the wire transfer had a mistake and it never processed! |

Re: Post your 60-66 craigslist finds
66 Milk truck $3900. Since it doesn't belong to me I don't know about the Apache part, but it could be a good deal with the current price.
https://eugene.craigslist.org/bar/d/...046186797.html Lightweight Fiberglass body on original 1 ton dually frame. Original running gear with Chevrolet inline 6 cylinder, manual 4 speed transmission. 97k miles. Clean Clear Oregon Title. Starts, runs, stops as it should. Runs strong. New parts professionally installed in last 30 days include New Carburetor, Alternator, Gas Tank, Fuel Pump, Fuel Lines, Water Lines, Battery Cables and Terminals, and Ignition. Fresh Oil Change with Fram Filter. All done in December 2019. All glass and window trim is in near excellent condition. 12 ft from back of driver seat to rear of box. Has a large propane tank mounted under the frame with small exterior access door. Was in the process of turning this very cool classic into an Ice Cream Truck, with 57 Cadillac tail lights and a custom roll bumper, but plans have changed. Now here's your chance to own a multi-use vintage classic that you can finish to your liking. It's a blank canvas inside. Ready for your finishing touches. Would make a great vendor truck, RV, mobile home, tiny home, delivery vehicle, business advertising, mobile billboard, construction rig, tools transporter, taco truck, coffee vending etc. Will trade for a 1967 to1972 Chevy pick up or other classic Chevy, Ford, Dodge, Mopar, Jeep, etc. Or box truck. Trade value is $5000. Clean Title in hand. Come Take a Look,$3900 Drive It Home

Re: Post your 60-66 craigslist finds
Not Craigslist, but for $2,500 I feel like this is fairly reasonable for what it is. Looks like a cool starter project, it has the chrome rear bumper and factory a/c.

Re: Post your 60-66 craigslist finds
65 C30 $500
Basically for parts. But if one of you enterprising entrepreneurs happens to be passing thru MT on your way to or thru TX, I'd GLADLY pay the full asking price in the ad if you'd kindly roll the motor off your trailer as you pass Burleson TX If it has the original 327, I'm actually quite serious. Anyway, sure seems like a lot of parts and/or truck (if it has a title) for $500. Wish it was closer. |

Re: Post your 60-66 craigslist finds
It says all original but, the engine looks strange. The valve covers have too many holes for a small block. The intake has a water crossover. It really doesn't look like a 409. Is it a Pontiac?

pontiac rocker covers are 4 bolt but oldsmobile are 10 so maybe? I'm not familiar with the engine options in a 1960 C60, could it be a tall deck 427 or similar?

Re: Post your 60-66 craigslist finds
That looks like a 455 olds in the 60 Viking. Pretty sure those weren’t even available in an Olds in 60. Also don’t think a Viking 60 would have had an auto trans.
