Time was limited today, so I grabbed JoJo the shop dog and split town for the farm…

Sanded on the pass door, Spread some glazing putty, then took some pics of my plate collection and headed back to town…

Jojo seems happy.

Do you "collect plates" or just have a bunch from cars you owned before?

JoJo is always happy when there is a truck or car ride involved… Those plates are all mine but I seem to have picked up one from the UK and one from SA recently... Thanks again Grizz!!! Cheers!!!

Re: Donz '65 SWB Stepper Budget Build...

Was hoping to get up to Dwcardfan's today to fetch my new to me frame to replace my bent one…Alas, Life sucker-punched me...
No Worries though... I did get the passenger door primed, and did that while enduring a very hot July day here in Arkansaw... Heat Index was bouncing at the 108F mark… Then at 8:20 this evening it was still hovering around 102F…

Here are a few pics of the door before and after primer… Also one of JoJo catching some wind on the way back into town from the farm...

Thanks Greg!!! Gonna road trip with the boy and JoJo Tuesday morning to grab that frame from Donnie, who is about an hour and a half up the road… Plus I scored a motor and trans for cheap, and it is on the way to Donnie's, gonna kill the 2 proverbial birds with one stone...

Thanks Man, after getting the primer on, I spotted 2 little areas that still need attention, got those addressed this morning and will get primer on those areas tomorrow after more sanding...

Re: Donz '65 SWB Stepper Budget Build...

Let the frame mods and cleaning begin… Soon anyways...
Started out just after 7am… Was able to get the time, and the son ready to roll early… After filling the petrol tank and our bellies with McD's Breakfast Biscuits, JoJo crashed on Jeremy for a good portion of the ride...
After a couple of hours we were in Strawberry Arkansaw visiting with Donnie, AKA Dwcardfan...
With the help of his tractor, we loaded the frame, checked out his build, scored a driver's side stepside fender sans spare cutout, and gave JoJo a chance to sniff around Donnie's farm…
We also got to check out his Camaro, but I forgot to get any pics of that sweet ride...

Here are some pics of today's trip...

Here are a few more pics...

I also scored a 305 and 5speed out of a 95 Silverado for 300 bones… the motor is going in the Dodge Ratrod project…
Picked it up on the way home from picking up the frame…
…and here is a pic of the fender from Donnie...

Was great to get caught up on you build and new project. Nice haul on the frame, motor and trans. Smiled when I saw the nail welds, wasn't that long ago we were just beginner sparkers

Hope the rod project goes smoothly for you! Not much time left on that counter. See you next week.
