The lift is whatever we had laying around, guessing 3"-4".

I keep forgetting to take the camera over to the body shop...... However I won't forget this weekend. We hung the tailgate, doors, and hood tonight. All the blocking is done. It should be in paint on Sunday!

Need to finish it, still have the cut-n-buff to go. Looks good though. Going to pic up a buffer, compound, and paper later today. Wish me luck.

Thanks for the compliment but before it was a 50 foot truck. From 50 foot away it was sweet. When ya got up next too it you could see all the dips, waves, dings, and whatnots I missed, which was a bunch. Not to mention it was two different color yellows, hard to tell on a computer pic but in person at any distance it was very apparent. I will admit it, great at metal work, not that great at finishing it off.

Tonights fun will include dropping in a cam and hydraulic lifters, along with new valve covers and air cleaner. It will thump nicely. Weather permitting I will take it home this weekend

Re: "Slowly but Surely" Big J's build thread...

Turned out great. I'm thinking of letting the local shop finish my C-10 from where I'm at now. I've learned a lot, but I have too much time invested into it now to settle for an amatuer paint job from me.

Re: "Slowly but Surely" Big J's build thread...

OK... Dropped a cam in, now it sounds the part, just gotta have an exhaust put on. Running straight pipes with turn downs at the moment. It even shakes the truck, gotta love it. The body is very straight, he did a great job on it, the paint is layin flatter every day, still not cured out, I reckon this will take a bit. On to the pics, and VIDEO! The last one is the vid, click it for your viewing and listening pleasure.

Re: "Slowly but Surely" Big J's build thread...

I've got it home and been pluggin away at gettin it done. Got the undercoating done, 3M is the shiz, I highly recommend it. Glued the door rubber in, used 3M there too. Got the inner fenders in. Installed the steering stabilizer. Cleaned up the wheels and tires while they were off. Got the windshield rubber in today, so in the next week or two I'll have a windshield put in.

Got the windshield in today. I'm going to have to order new rubber for the vent wings, they aren't in as good of shape as I remembered. Oh well. Its getting there.
