I can't wait for the Cam Twister show this Saturday. If you need any help detailing the truck....or putting in your stereo and air guage clusters, let me know.

The weather forecast said it might rain Friday and partly cloudy on Saturday, I sure hope it don't rain Saturday. I'm working on the truck today. I found my rear shock bolts both snapped , so I had no shocks when I was driving, I thought it felt bouncy. I hold cheap bolts, I'm putting back in grade 8 bolts.

Yes they are. They are shortened hot rod shocks. I think the bolts broke from for two reasons; one is the bolts were non-grade bolt. I put them in when I was setting up the shocks and forgot to replace them. Second, was the bottom shock studs I used are adjustable and the angle was not right and put the shocks in a bind when they were fully compressed. I re-adjusted the bottom stud and used grade 8 bolts. It should be okay now, I hope!

Re: 58 GMC Project

Well, it has not rained the last few days....though it was supposed to. That could mean no reain tomorrow for the show...or it could mean that the rain we were supposed to get the last few days will be here tomorrow. Lets hop it's the former and not the latter.

Hey Cal
The Truck looks awesome all done. Congrats on the trophies it's bringing in too. You did an incredible job!!
I frequently visit your "Youtube" video, it always motivates me to get to work on a project truck too.
But at the end of you video it says "to be continued". Will you and your boy be recording an updated video soon, of it completed?
Luv to hear you honk on that 350 a bit too, to hear that hp. LOL

Re: 58 GMC Project

Hey Cal, when you are aired out, how much clearance do you have under your oilpan? A 'pro' told me that I will save many hours by using the stock chevy mounts (as you have) as opposed to the custom mounts that I bought from Classic Performance Products. But I am concerned about clearance.

Thanks in advance!
