Re: Project "My Happy Mess"
Engine before (350 crate)
Now (355 custom) We've since relocated the fuel line to the carb. Some dieseling was going on, but not lately - it may have played a role (doubtful, but... who knows). For the most part, I think we've got it tuned in well. Mayby the carb needs a small amount of attention.

Re: Project "My Happy Mess"
Thanks Mike. I should buy those sticking with this thread a case of beer. I find it to see my truck brought back to its original state (body/color/shine). Pretty f*ing sweet

Re: Project "My Happy Mess"
Also, that's the only decent picture I have of my truck, taken at the IA State Fair GG's show of that year (right before it broke out w/rust). Makes for a nice comparison

Re: Project "My Happy Mess"
Your truck definitely looks awesome! I can't seem to place where the crosses came from. I was thinking of the cemetary by the Drake area but I have no idea for sure.

Re: Project "My Happy Mess"
Thanks Jim and Ryan. The crosses aren't real. Hint - it's an album cover.
I'm still considering the horses seat cover. I'm going to photoslop the horses onto my seat (later) in the picture below to see what it looks like. I think all the colors go good with it, and since my project is named after a race horse

Re: Project "My Happy Mess"
I'm pretty sure it's a Metallica album. Master of puppets? Maybe.

Re: Project "My Happy Mess"
Bad news. The seat cover is only offered in SM, not FULL.
I haven't measured yet, but I'm almost certain it won't fit the bench seat No flash Hood to cowl seal

Re: Project "My Happy Mess"
Up next: The chrome trim around the wood grain has left the building. It's now just grey plastic. Anyone know where I can buy some thin interior chrome tape to replace with? Or something that would work?
