Got my OG paint polished the rest of the way out yesterday and got the old original 307 fired off after setting in a barn for 20 plus years!

Looks great. Just need some tires that fill the wheel wells.

Re: What did you do to your Blazer/Jimmy today?

Preparing the rear passenger area for carpet.

Dynamat down, what about the wheel wells and the inside of the bed walls?

Also, you can go to my build thread to look at additional pictures.

Thanks,

Pat

Re: What did you do to your Blazer/Jimmy today?

Now the bed sides lined also. Then added 1.5" solid foam insulation over that.

Hopefully, this will make it sound a bit better in the cab.

Re: What did you do to your Blazer/Jimmy today?

On my resto-mod K5, I built the front half of a rear body harness. I used GLX wire and Deutsch connectors. I also added a couple wires to have my LED rear side marker lights act as rear turn signal lights as well. All covered in F6 split braided loom that was run along the body rather than inside the frame.

I still need to build the rest of the harness on the truck to connect to the actual lights and tie into a trailer wiring lead....

Re: What did you do to your Blazer/Jimmy today?

Installed the custom rear body harness.
Terminated at a junction box so I can tie into the rear trailer harness (blue wire.)
I also have LED lights on all corners and will have my rear side markers flash with the turn signals.
I also ran the harness along the body from the firewall, along the rocker box, then up through the driver side wheel well. I still need to add some clips to secure the harness along the rocker box. It's wrapped in TechFLex F6 split loom.

The only thing running inside the frame will be fuel and brake hard lines...

Re: What did you do to your Blazer/Jimmy today?

I had my door panels sitting on a shelf for years...
I decided to take them down, wash them and hang them on the doors with a couple bolts. They were covered in Line-X and I had the trim powder coated in red. Still need some arm rests... trying to decide on Black or try Red....
I still need to install my NuRelic power window regulators as well...
Then figure out what to do with the hole where the window crank used to be... Maybe a cup holder...

Re: What did you do to your Blazer/Jimmy today?

I got the rear seat out of the donor 2001 Tahoe mocked up and made sure the passenger side would fold down correctly. Turned out pretty nice and will be a lot easier for the kids to get in and out.

Designed and installed a bracket for my Dakota Digital gauge module and OBDII interface. Cut out of stainless steel on a waterjet. Bolts to the bake pedal/steering column mount.
