Re: Whose on Steelies? Post 'em up!

Haven't been on this site for a long while, here's my '69 with it's current setup. Powder coated steelies and unknown center caps I picked up, 245s in the front, 295s out back

6 lug 16.5x6.0 is my wheel of choice. I haven't come across another set. Anyone else come across a set of these gm wheels.

Love the direction you've taken with this truck! Are those bias ply tires?

Tried to edit out the above pic and substitute this one, which I prefer. Don't think that's gonna work so I'll just add this here.

That's got a very nice stance. Do you have any side profile pics?

Looks good! I just picked up a set of these tires in the same size, and have these same wheels being powder coated this week. Thanks to this forum for recommending the wheels. These are replacing the stock 16.5 wheels and tires.

Re: Whose on Steelies? Post 'em up!

Thanks! Post up some pics when you get the new tires & wheels mounted.

I don't know the model number -- they are Lock-O-Matics, which I think have been out of production for a very long time. I like 'em a lot!

Lock-O-Matics, that's even better! They should be M31's then according to my old chart. There should be a number stamped in the dial recess where you put your fingers.

I just went from the 16.5 black steelies, to 16 inch white steelies with 255-85 Cooper ST Tires. What a difference the white wheels make with taller tires! Now it's time for a 2 inch lift.
