Re: Post pics of your Longbed Trucks!! No short stuffs allowed!!
I'm so mad I can't post any pics on here! My computer is so old its got a hand crank like a model A! Lol so there goes $1000 out of my truck fund to go buy a new one, it will be ready for pick up tomorrow when I get off work. Its amazing when I tell my wife I need a $100 part for my truck she tells me we don't have it and I need to be patient! Since she wanted a new computer so she can bring work home with her there was no patients needed! You all know you can't just buy a computer, you also need $500 worth of extras!!! I didn't realize I needed a $200 home office down load, printer, etc..... to post my pictures! Well she has a few assets I LOVE so she gets what she wants and tomorrow bet I don't hear a thing about buying my new grill trim! Lol I'll be posting my junk in no time! Love um LONG N LOW!!!

^^^^ hey there Lou, I think yours is the first truck I've seen on the forum with the same paint color as mine. I really like what you've done with it.

Thanks. The SPID calls it Med. Bronze with an code of 551 (Chevy called it Medium Iridescent Bronze.) I had a local auto paint store mix some for touch up and its close. It's a great color. Got a pic of your truck. Like to see it.

I actually posted several on the prior page. We've got a lot of work to do and neither my dad nor I really know what we're doing but this forum is a huge help!

Good lookin truck. You're right. This forum is a great resource. There are master mechanics and guys, like me, that tinker. All got one thing in common. We love our trucks.
Best of luck! |

Hey is anyone coming to Arlington UTA tomorrow for the start of 2013 Power Tour? If you are PM me, I'd love to hang out and put some faces with the trucks! Driving through town today was awesome, I never get tired of Chevelles, Chevy II, or old Camaro's! Made me feel like I was in the 70's. Whish my truck was done, hopefully next yr!

My 71 c20. Repainted it about 2 weeks ago, and this was right after spending the day wet sanding and buffing.

Re: Post pics of your Longbed Trucks!! No short stuffs allowed!!
Here's my '68 long step side. Originally a state truck - radio delete, no power anything, 6 cyl/3 speed. Now a 350 / 3 speed.
Of course a week after I bought it I got my hands on another truck and now I need to get this one out of my garage. If I keep it I'll probably cut it down to short box and convert it to 4x4

My seven (7) year long project. Not only longbed, but Longhorn to boot!!
Still need nice chrome rear bumper and big-block radiator shroud. Also, original steel rims with 4WD dog dish hubcaps. |
