Thumbs up Re: My 86 build

Hey John, its looking hot! What source and part no. did you use for the K&N cold air intake? And the choice of radiators looks like the one I went with, a Griffin model 58272-1 with dual Spal's 31" x 19" and dual right hand side outlets. I picked mine up at Summit Racing for a great price considering some of the others I'd checked into.

Thumbs up Re: My 86 build

Sorry John, mine is still sitting in the box. It will be a while before I get that far along on it. I went with the widest one, the 31" because I didn't see any reason not to as more coolant the better. Here in Texas in the summertime, sitting in traffic can really put a cooling system to the test.

For the mount, I went with one from CFRperformance.com

HZ-41016 CFR UNIVERSAL RADIATOR MOUNTING BRACKET KIT (31" x 19")

Jegs has the same thing for almost twice the price.

Re: My 86 build

I think the stocker is more like the 27" wide model. I wonder if that polished cold air tube can be adapted to hold the MAF sensor?

theres a rubber coupling that attaches to the end of the tube and MAF before the filter, the filter clamps on to a big aluminun ring that the MAF bolts to.....hope that helps explain it...

Re: My 86 build

Another reason, I'm thinking but I can't put my finger on the info right now, on why I went with the 31" wide unit is that I believe it uses larger fans than the 27" wide one does. I could be having a head up my butt moment, but that is what I seem to recall thinking.
