I would love to buy this truck, but not the right time for me.
I'd like to have that old girl in my driveway, but I agree that the time is not right. Like about 20 years too late. Cool truck!

Re: Post your 60-66 craigslist finds

Hey what's the story on the seats in that 61 motorhome posted 6 days ago? I assume they are not stock? And that underdash AC unit is cool. And why would Chevy build a 3/4 ton dually? Is that for chassis's like this camper, where the expected weight gain would be limited to the rear?
I love that thing!

Re: Post your 60-66 craigslist finds

Not Craigslist, but may be of interest...the PickNPull in south Portland has a 1972 van with what appears to be an intact a 3 speed OD trans, the type with the solenoid. The van just hit the yard yesterday.

I went, hoping for an automatic column for my truck...no such luck.

Not bad, I didn’t know they made V6 motors back in the 60s.

I tried to find a more specific thread, but here's one with a link to a good site that has even more gmc v6 information:

"unique" doesn't begin to describe that truck. I have never seen a white interior. 4+4 with a screaming Detroit is amazing. The stacks could use some nice heat shields. They are illegal in many states because they must exit below 2 ft. or ,,, above 10 ft.
The price is unbelievably low for something this perfect.

It’s a good thing he only posted them for $5 and $10 because I only had a budget of $5 to $10 but now I think I am going to spend 1000 times more

The 4X4 was my favourite transmission, I’ve never seen a B model with one, although I have seen a few with a 3 speed behind the main. I have always liked the looks of manufactures jacking up a pickup cab and building a truck around it. Although in reality they wont stand up to much heavy duty usage.

It appears to have a power steering pump on the back of the generator.
