Re: A '54 named Busty
Nice work on the LS swap, and the to do list is getting shorter.

Re: A '54 named Busty
forgetting to block off the brake booster vacuum port on the back of the intake is guaranteed to make a spectacular vacuum leak
soon we shall upgrade to power brakes for now this is just to ensure proper startability |

Re: A '54 named Busty
Progress not perfection!
reluctantly I had to notch the upper radiator frame to move the radiator up a little bit for the upper rad hose to clear the top of the fan |

Re: A '54 named Busty
I got some mystery lower radiator hose to work absolutely perfectly after trimming it a bit and installing the swivel thermostat housing/neck

Re: A '54 named Busty
I think the heat is getting to you, the upper hose shouldnt be plumbed to the oil fill, unless you are steam cleaning the inside.
your random lower hose looks a lot like the one I use on my swaps, same bends. you can ship that intake to me and I PROMISE to forward it on.

Re: A '54 named Busty
alright then, but how do they fit?
well the passenger side just barely clears the frame, we are talking about 3/16ths of space the driver side has a plenty of room |

Re: A '54 named Busty
this is actually brilliant, now you can use sewer clamps! just kidding. my friend greg (not you, another greg) was having trouble installing his manifolds on his 52 and I told him about cutting and welding cast steel, I will show him your progress.

I don't usually do LS Swaps,
but when I do... I prefer for it to be scorching hot! |
