Re: Chucks SWB Fleetside

Me too guys. I put the steering column in and and it sits tilted a little but works. Like yours Matt. lol. I found a couple more leaks on the master cylinder and tightened them up. fingers crossed. I cleaned and painted the bracket and clamp that hold the column to the firewall. Its still tacky so it'll go on tomorrow. I also started my cowl.

Amazing.
Hopefully you can learn from my mistakes. Like buying a steel cast water pump.
Also when you order an aluminum from jegs get the plugs and the pulley shim kit.
I put it on and the two groove pulley hits the side that has the heater port. I just ordered a shim kit for the pulley.

Haha Yeah it does. I am going to redo it after the truck. I have the pocket bumpers and the chrome feet. I think I'll go with a blue felt.

I got the column bracket and clamp on and got another belt. Its also too short and I'll have to try again. Ordered one off ebay.

Aww, man. It stinks when parts dont fit. It takes a lot of skill to drive a truck with a crooked column, lol.

Rus is letting me use his Magnaflow muffler. I'll try to get it on in the next few days.

Re: Chucks SWB Fleetside

I hear ya. I needed an exhaust hanger and Rus was nice enough to let me have one off of his frame that we just picked up. I cleaned it a little and painted it. I got some clamps so I should be ready to put the exhaust on tomorrow evening. I still need to get a longer flex pipe so it'll go out the door.

Thanks Rus.

I'm having a work/get together day next Saturday the 19th if any of you are interested.

I got the correct belt for the a/c finally. Its 15580. I had a couple dudes show up and they put it on.

My mom always had the best advice. It was just a tad late. After a fall that involved blood, she'd say....."Careful!"
