Re: SPID Picture thread?
Good question. My first thought was it was a long bed scratched out. Per the model on the left it says 09 which indicates it is a long bed. although I see no evidence of a frame cut. Which leads me to possibly believe the cab was put on a factory swb, when it was restored a while back.
Maybe it was cut but I’m not seeing it correctly? Any thoughts on how I can confirm this was a cut long bed or a different swb frame. Any input would be appreciated, I’m new to the c10. Thanks. |

I think I know what I got. I believe the cab is a long box cab and the frame and bed are factory short, frame is not cut or anything. The cabs for long and short are the same correct? All of the options listed I have in the truck match the spid. coincidence Or what lol? I bet the builder scratched the wheelbase part out since the cab was put on the short box. I’m speculating but it makes sense to me.. |

Re: SPID Picture thread?
I bought the burb on post 856
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...62#post8692462 A board member asked what the color was and I think it says special paint. It also says consignee caution, and permanent anti something. Don't think Ive ever seen either of those before. Any enlightenment from the spid guru's?

Re: SPID Picture thread?
bottom of left column 'GSA' is General Services Administration..
GSA handles most of the federal govt. non tactical fleet purchases that often have unique specs and placards.. could be placards for servicing, weight, tie down, lifting, speed, terrain, climate, NSN parts, etc. the 72 Army truck above is a good example, specs vary per agency of course..

Re: SPID Picture thread?
It’s just a shell. Had no front end, no doors at all except the third door. No seats either. And thats the best I could get the spid to look in PS. Previous owner has purchased a few bits and pieces that I get with it.

Re: SPID Picture thread?
sorry, I meant to clean the spid, looks like paper without lamination?
maybe a way to clean the paper to see what all options were there and figure out the agency.. either way, looks like a good deal on parts.. is that a posi axle right column, second down?

Re: SPID Picture thread?
Sorry yeah I understood what you were saying. I should have started with the spid is ready to waste away to nothing and any kind of cleaning would just finish the job. I was just getting at there isn't anything else to go on where it may have come from. I did notice the interior seemed a little different shade of green than the exterior, so possibly a repaint? I was thinking maybe a little light sanding on the doors ... Ooops there are no doors lol.
I appreciate all our input and sleuthing abilities for sure.

Re: SPID Picture thread?
I think the RPO code you're looking for is 3B?
like I mentioned before, the GSA vehicles often spec'd specific warnings and placards that would only appear on those vehicles and they don't appear in the 'regular' production code lists.. here is all I could find last time, might have to email one of the vendors that repop these to see if they have seen it before.. good luck! https://www.crankshaftcoalition.com/...GM_master_list B34 H.D. Re: SPID Picture thread?
I bought this today. 67 1/2 ton 4x4 panel truck.
I think the panels were low production (Rare). Rare does not equal desirable. The bottom panels are really rough. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/a...1&d=1585009716 http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/a...1&d=1585009812

Re: SPID Picture thread?
Cool panel, looks like something that a MASH unit would use. Hopefully someone can save it. 6 cylinder?
