Re: My 68 swb build.

i do need an opinion on one thing tho...and please chime in...Since i dont wanna drill another hole and run another cable for an emergency release on the door, which i dont know where to begin so i calling it a pain, how about a spring return key switch under the hood for, say, the passenger window switch. This way if the battery was to die or in the most worst case the cable break on the actuator, i can roll the window down with the turn of a key. Of course 12v supply would be straight off of the battery and the keyswitch would be hidden 100%.

Put the switch somewhere out of sight in the engine compartment that can't be reached without opening the hood and with the wires inaccessible for hot wiring.

Re: My 68 swb build.

Don't feel bad man. I'm in the same boat. Been a while since I been on. And haven't done a darn thing to my truck. Hope to have a garage soon so I can do it right. That's sad about your body guy. I plan to do my own work. That way I can only get mad at myself!

I told him that i wanted to have the truck finished before october....he says he can get it done, but we'll see....the sad thing is, money isnt the issue. i told him, if money is the issue, let me know and ill write you a check. Britt wants to start her truck and she cant till mine is done.

See, there is your problem. You didn't tell him which October you wanted it done by.

I have been in paint prison one too many times. I am resorting to doing it myself this time around. I painted aircraft for the air force for a few years and worked in a body shop for a summer so I have just enough knowledge to be dangerous. We will see how that turns out.

Even though he says the money isn't an issue it probably would make him move faster if you handed him some cash to speed things up. It should move your truck up on his priorities list.
