then it was time to maketize the driver side

not pretty but strong, hard to tell in the pics but the downpipe doesn't go straight down in goes down and in little bit towards the trans to clear the brake setup underneath

ah yep half a dozen different barb fittings and still not one the right size! (couple didn't show up for the picture, but they're hiding in the drawer of useless junk)

here I am just doing a trial fitment with the smallest one I had, the threads are right, but the barb is too small for the hose

not crazy how the vapor hose loops anyway so may change that when I get the right size fitting as well

thanks, and you wanna know the craziest part, the day after I finish them SUMMIT decides to ship my back ordered manifolds, the ones that were not supposed to go out until July 17th !!! the charge is now pending in my checking account ???

so because of a couple really hot days, I didn't get to wrench on the truck and fell in a very rare position where I had more parts than time, so let's see what arrived

so the Summit brand exhaust manifolds showed up, in a box, inside a box mind you, LOL

and not to be outdone the Hooker downpipes showed up as well

and here they are togethertised, not sure which way the O2 bungs are supposed to face (in or out?), oh well we'll figure it out

Well, maybe, they sure didn't slip right on, had to remove the starter heat shield to get the passenger exhaust manifold to bolt up, but that was the least of the headaches...
