Thinnest I could find is 1.2 mil

Nice murral.

I always wondered what people could use for that little trim. I think 3m used to have a chrome pin stripe. I remember using that on a 68 chevelle door panel when I used to work in a body shop.

I'm not sure actual pinstripe would work since the pieces have curves.
I need something that'll conform easily and wrap.

I'll install them tomorrow. After that (a day or two, rain forecast for Wed.), it should be a good time to take a trip to the alignment store.

This is a little guy, they come around twice/three times bigger - looking for grubs in my backyard.

Yeah, two years ago! It was a necessary evil since the originals busted out with rust.
I figured buying new was the best option (less work etc...).
They've been hiding out back all this time. Wood floor and NOS rear wheel wells too.
Bedsides are the only pieces made in china. Everything else (less bumpers I think): ORIGINAL 1970's US metal.

So far we don't see any issues test fitting the sides.

We were looking for erroneous stamping or equivelent I guess. We don't want to proceed with paint if something is the matter. It's been so long since we've disassembled, we're pretty much winging reassembly at this point

The piece of wood we used as a spacer, is a little thicker than the bed wood, but not by much. The back ends of the bedsides bolt up and are stationary, whereas the front ends have a bit of play due to not being tied in/ secured accordingly. Guess we'll see in the end (tailgate, etc...).

I'll admit, it's getting a little more exciting seeing the bedsides up - invisioning the wood filling the rest, soon.
