Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
I drove 8 hours on the guys word it was rust free new motor on and on. It's a POS at best. I just don't want anyone on here to get took. I am already out 800 I put deposit to hold truck on pay pal now they will not refund my money. Guess lesson learned.

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
I would like to get educated about this sort of situation. I looked up the CL ad, and of course it is difficult to tell anything in detail about the truck. Can you tell us what lead you to believe it was a POS when you saw it? And now when you look back on the ad are there things to look for in advertisements that are easy to miss? I have only bought one truck on CL and I got lucky. (Truck was in CA and I am in NY). Thanks for your help with this.

![]() If I was looking for a truck and that ad was legit, I would buy that one. I love stepsides, manual trannies, and long wheel bases. All that thing needs is a spare tire on the side. |

![]() Seriously though, I emailed that guy about that truck and he never replied. My email asked just why this is the 3rd time I've seen in on CL in a year. I suspect it's a fake ad. Maybe I'll notify CL. |

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
I talked with the owner a couple of months ago about it it even has cold a/c sound like a good truck. I just didn't care for the 3 on the three.

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
Really cool longhorn! This thing looks straight and rust free as far as i can tell. Medium olive paint would buff out super cool too. Put a motor in it and go.

Do a lot of people unhook their heater cores in California? Is a defroster/heater something you just don't need? *A friend told me cars didn't even come with heaters in Indonesia! That's right on the equator though. |

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
i'd look closely a the lwb 71 in person. Looking closely at the lower driver's side door and front fender behind the wheel, I'm not convinced it's as DRY as he said it was. Could be, but I'd want someone to lay eyes on before I committed.

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
Thanks Jocko. I have someone lined up to be my eyes for me who has done this before and I will make sure to have them check these key areas. I am quite often amazed at how sharp-eyed folks on this forum are. And I appreciate your input. Thanks again. --George

Let us know if you buy it. I am always attracted to original paint trucks. But I want a swb.
