Re: What did you do to your truck today!
I put on the 90's van marker lights that I picked up at a junk yard the other day. Then I put in a center seat belt. Installed a horn out of a ford explorer because the stock one in my truck was too weak. Degreased the engine because it was a mess from a p/s leak. And pulled my p/s belt so it will stop spraying fluid until I put on a new hose later this week. Man I feel bad for you guys that don't have power steering!

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
I put new spark plus, wires, cap and rotor on. Degreased the engine and cleaned up the bay, filled up with new oil, and power steering fluid, and tranny fluid. Tuned the carb. Took off and painted my air cleaner and reinstalled and drove for awhile. Felt good after being parked for awhile.

Ordered the vinyl for the recovering of the buddy buckets and took the blazer to a body guy for a quote on installing new floor pans and rockers. Might be able to pull off both

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Put in an electric washer pump, wired it to the original switch and moved the washer sprayers to the wiper arms....

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
I havn't done this listing "what I done to day" much ,,but today I made headway and feel like telling all ...I have every thing I ever done to my truck written down with the amount of time and the cost of every nut and bolt .. I installed battery cables ,put heat wrap around the starter,,and wrapped heat shield around gas line next to Manifold ,,drilled holes and hung the heat shield to the fire wall,,hooked up heater hoses ,,hooked up power steering hoses, screwed in tranny line fittings into the tranny and hooked up the lines to the radiator,,plugged the clutch hole in the fire wall .
Tried fitting up the modulator tube but it sure doesnt look it is the correct one so will go back to the wrecking yard and find another.. getting closer to crank up.. yahoo I guess is in order..LOL |

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Not really *work* work on the truck.
We stopped by Early Classic Enterprises (Fresno/Clovis) and jawboned with Stan and Mark. Also, I loaded some build pictures here: http://tinyurl.com/27mch3q Not in any good order. But this is the place I'll keep loading them. Now I have to go away and spend more money on the web...Bye.....

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Swapped motors in the car. Almost done. Truck will be next. I might install this in a truck or just use old heads. Block is back from machine shop for the truck. Still undecided if I should put blower back on or not.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
I stood in the garage looking at my sandblasted frame wishing my welder buddy was in town to do my frame work so I could coat it, then I picked up some tools for next weeks CPP delivery, came home and jumped on the board to do some research for the next few days work

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
I spent an hour or so trying to remove the thick black paint the previous owner put on the truck... I gues he thought a black truck would sell better.... dumb a$$ .... I used sandpaper and rubbing compund with a green scotch bright.... Not much shine left on the Ochre but its still 100 times better then the black...
