Re: 198Plus build
to the guys asking why you have alan do yours , when you own a body shop, I understand....I know quite a few body shop owners(including alan!), that have to put thier projects on a back burner, to cater to thier customers...
smart thing having someone else get yours done!

Ronnie, I can't find any new gutters for the A post. They might be available somewhere, but I can't find them. I will try to replicate them. Don't worry I'm not gonna charge you for the labor to figure out how to make them. If they turn out nice I will step up my membership here and sell them to others that need them. Did you get your estimating system in yet? If not, you need at least a set of crash books to give you an idea of what to charge. Are any of those insurance jobs? That restoration will need more than one quarter panel.

Re: 198Plus build
Got the A post gutters removed and the seam sealer removed around the top of the door area so the blaster can do a better job. I'm glad I removed them.
I told Ronnie the brass in this joint is not factory. To my knowledge they didn't use brass back then. Y'all correct me if I'm wrong. I told him the shop that did the floor work could have done it. What do you wnat to do with this Ronnie? It could open a can of worms?

Re: 198Plus build
What a wasted day today. Some how the info of what was needing blasted and the condition of the parts didn't get to the worker. Long story short is the cab got 1/3 blasted and that was it. Due to the fact that he didn't bring enough media with him. I'm aggrevated due to the fact that nothing got accomplished and today was a great day to work out in the shop. That's what happens when I'm not in charge of the situation. I'll get off the soap box now. Here is what got done and what was found so far.
Looking at the brass on the rt side of the dash More brass, it was scattered around in different locations. Found more floor patch work just to the inside of the inner rocker. Supplies the guy brought with him, just for the record. The parts he brought so far for the record. The inner rockers was not what I ordered. I specified the complete inners. What's here 2 outer and 2 inner rockers, 2 kick panels, 1 cab corner, 2 A post dog legs.

Re: 198Plus build
Sorry to hear of the non-productive day Alan. I hate it when people don't come prepared to do the entire job. What type of media was he using?
