In Auburn AL, taking my buddy a bunch of stuff for his new place. It's about 500 miles round trip from auburn ga to auburn al

And a teaser on my new wheels... I had them test fit one tire. now all i have to do is get some $$ and go get the tires.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

Yeah they got bent, and when i went to get more the steels like i have now, they cost more than the aluminum's did, and i cant pay more for a steel vs aluminum wheel. So I decided to do something different, as I haven't seen any stock to slightly lifted squares with 18" wheels and not a lot of em have 33" tires . I wanted a 33" tire and the 285/75r16 look a little too balloon like on the skinny OE wheels like I have now. I like the wheels I have and if they hadn't been damaged i would have left them on indefinitely. But i figured I go a be different route this time. Either way there's not too many non-lowered squares with bigger wheels so that's a point for them. That and I always wanted some BFG KOs but for whatever reason never got them, so I will this time. So It's 18"s and 275/70R18's FTW

The 10 Silverado,

I like the color combo because you don't see many original trucks with OEM color combos.

Find a set of 77' door panels and you'd have a sharp & original 77' truck (other than the grill, personally I'd put in a billet grill or put the OEM ) I would also put lowering shackles in the rear so the truck sit level front and rear.

It's honestly a very sharp truck you have...

Thank you for all the complements! It's going to take some work but I'm going to try to finish it within a year...I was curious after you told me about the door panels and looked around and I do have the wrong style door panels, so where along the line the previous owner must have changed the inner door handles for it...the grill I'm not sure of yet, I like the look but I do also like the OEM grills to....as for the lowering...I was planning on putting in HD springs on the front and back and 1.5 inch lift....seen a few and they look nice! The overall paint job is going to be black and cherry with black and brushed aluminum interior (sorry but going to part with the original color (shame but I think it will look really nice done) and then I'm going to put these type wheels on it.... (see link)....and possibly a dual cowl hood...

That front bumper situation looks all too familiar to me. Got my old 85 Silverado stuck in a mud pit, and the guy that hooked up to me just "jerked" me till the bottom bolt on the tow hook broke. Top bolt makes it hinge right up through the bumper. Tell him to replace to the factory bolts with grade 8 bolts, and to keep it out of the mud, and he won't have a problem again.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

Been awhile since I've been on the website but here are pictures of my truck.

Stepfather was the original owner and gave it to me when he was diagnosed with cancer about two years ago. He passed away last August but I have one of his most prized possessions in my garage to remind me of him, not that I needed it to remember him.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

BIG 10 SILVERADO,

77GMCTRUCK has the picture of the OEM door panels and those are the correct ones, because I had a original 77' Silverado 4x4 Short Box....

I miss that truck...

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

For those asking it is a Rhino Bedliner. It was color matched to the original color of the truck and sprayed on extra thick. I think they did a full 1/4 inch if I remember correctly. I got it as it is pictured. It really is nice and I plan on keeping it. I've even started taking some mechanics classes on the side just so I can work on this and my classic car.
