That's what you get for using F$#d wheels! Your truck upside down!

Yup, M31E. I've owned this truck for 39 years and had the hubs apart more than a couple times to clean & grease them, and I've seen that raised area with the numbers, but have never paid any attention.
Wouldn't have known what it meant anyway!

M31E is the model number. From what I can tell, they are the 31 set of hubs we developed, starting with an M-1 hub for the early 10 spline Jeeps.

Re: Whose on Steelies? Post 'em up!

I like those Cooper tires, Mike, hadn't seen those before. If they're still being made in five years or so when I finally wear down this set, I'll have to look at those! They remind me a little of the now-discontinued BFG A/T, a more old-school look compared to the new ones.

Finally got my steelies powdercoated and installed, along with my caps. I used stainless 73-up caps and painted the bowtie blue. Changed the whole look of the truck, I like it a lot better! Before and after:

That's looking great!! I especially like the outdoor pics with trees & mountains, perfect settings for a classic 4WD truck.

Thanks.

First fix my high beams, then fix the AC. After that, drive it when I can.

Re: Whose on Steelies? Post 'em up!

Does anybody know if hub caps for a standard 3 or 4 nub steel wheel will fit on these wheels from Wheel Vintiques?

Re: Whose on Steelies? Post 'em up!

I know, thats why I'm asking if hub caps will fit on the raised circular part. SOME type of cap has to fit.

Forgive me - Ize is pretty ignant when it comes to hubcaps.

So maybe the better question is -- what hubcaps will fit on these rims?

Re: Whose on Steelies? Post 'em up!

I think you could put trim rings on those wheels but I don't believe any dog dishes will pop on them.

Perhaps full wheel covers will fit.

Actually the smoothie wheels do have nubs but they are on the inside of the ring. Watch the WV video under the product link.

Re: Whose on Steelies? Post 'em up!

I see. So you can use one of their center caps, but not a factory hubcap i looks like. That's a bummer.

I think it's the WV 52's that have the outer nubs.

'67 to ,82 Corvette Ralley wheel caps fit and also the police car caps for early disc brake full size cars 67 to 72. Plus the aftermarket makes a multitude of vintage styled caps for these.
