Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II
Heres the truck when it was my work truck in 2012 as well as the way it looked in 2000 when he bought which is the picture with the big wide american eagles on it. This was replaced by the white 2002 5.3 4x4 silver ado which I love as a work truck

Grampys 88-98 chevy trucks
Red one is 91 350, black one is 93, the only 4x4 he ever owned which is the one pulling the boat was a 93 but was only to pull his 27 ft. baja. These are the only ones I've found pictures of so far, but many more to come. This was the early 90's so the pin striping and weld wheels were all that then. But as always he did the bell tech 3/4 drop. And the last photo is of my grandfathers 1936 cabriolet with the rumble seat, 350 crate motor, street rodded from front to back in his garage over a year. Just one of his many restored/street rods he was put in magazines for. (thats me in the seat) As you can see my passion for cars has come from him, and his life was cars, and he was my life, so his unexpected passing in october has driven me to share his passions with others who do as well. Thanks for reading and glad I joined this forum. Look forward to meeting some guys.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II
I love the two tone look, and the colors. What did you do to lower it? I have a 98 RCSB and have lowered the rear 2 " but would like to go a little lower. I would rather not notch the frame, and don't want it down to low for a daily driver. Yours sits nice.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II
Well, I haven't been on here in MONTHS, so I guess it's time to show off my most recent score. '96 Silverado, light-duty 6-lug C2500. Bought it for $400 locally, about 4 miles from my house, a little over a month ago. Bought it with late-model steel 17s, bald 265-70 tires, and a bad 4L60-E transmission. Has 275K on the odometer, engine is a replacement.
NOW fast forward a few weeks. Now has a 4L80-E in it from a '99, steel 16" wagon-style wheels with 235/85 E rated 10 Ply tires on all four corners, new upper ball joints, and she runs like a champ.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II
Daaamn. I'm usually not a fan of interchanging bodystyles (like 88-98 beds on 67-72 trucks), but this is Dually with the HD hood is sick!

If you want a contemporary look,, stay with a single color. Go with charcoal and use solid with perforated inserts.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II
Basically skinned the 08 hood and welded it on an 92 hood.i had to split the front in three places so it would lay back like i wanted it to. My buddy was a paint and body guy for 20 years so he helped me out.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II
Amazing work! Ever since I saw that dually I've been wanting to have one made. That was even before I had an 88-98 to put it on.
