Who you gonna call.... ???
Shed Busters... !!! I think the rebuild will be a lot easier than the deconstruction. Fresh nuts, bolts n screws. And at least we will have the right tools on site and someone who can use woodwork tools I get a feeling of DejaVu. 16 January 2014 Quote:

Great score on the garage. I helped a mate dismantle one a while ago - bloody heavy, aren't they!

Great result, absolute bargain, and you can never have too much storage/garage space

Re: Martin's mi-STRESS, 1965 Long Fleetside C10 "Rebuild in ENGLAND"
Well I still have a nasty cough but at least I don't feel so rough .
I haven't got anything done on the truck but I did do a bit on the Harley . My MOT is due and there are a few jobs that I needed to do . One was fix the rear brake light switch . The other job was I wanted to change the front lower front fork legs and upgrade the fork springs with progressive ones . I also wanted to change the rear end to the later v rod rear end I have had for a while How it was Stripped down Front removed Rear end changed So all being well I should be back working on the truck in a couple of weeks as I will be collecting my prop shaft from Andy at the swop meet on the 20th of March .

Re: Martin's mi-STRESS, 1965 Long Fleetside C10 "Rebuild in ENGLAND"
Well with the bike all back together , and booked in for its MOT in the morning. Then it's straight off to work . Yes I have to work on Saturday 3rd one in 9years at this job we are so busy it's madness. Swop meet on Sunday so I will be picking up my propshaft off Andy (Uber Cool) . So it will be back to working on the truck , as we have four days off for the Easter break.
The bike all finished ready for the MOT tomorrow

Thanks
Thank you Don , the inner panel and rear light are some of the parts you stored at your shop for about 8 months till we came over to do the road trip .

Re: Martin's mi-STRESS, 1965 Long Fleetside C10 "Rebuild in ENGLAND"
Bike looks great. hope it passed the test. from talking to you and others in England that MOT inspection is tough and has a lot more requirements than the ones over here. Here its… lights-check, wipers-check, OK, good to go. Arkansas dropped the inspection process all together because the actual shops doing the inspection would have to spend to much time and made like 2 bucks. slowly there were fewer shops willing to work for nothing, go figure. i think Texas still has inspections but i don't think many other states do anymore.
It will be good to see you back on the truck… what did you get at the swap meet? |

Clem they have inspections in NC and they check a lot more stuff here . and if your check engine light is on you cant get a license plate .. inspection costs $30 add $10 if you have tint on your windows . |

Re: Martin's mi-STRESS, 1965 Long Fleetside C10 "Rebuild in ENGLAND"
Thanks Clem . Yes it did pass it helps when the MOT inspector has a 59 Chevy truck . Let's just say I should have fitted the full size number plate and the standard exhaust get it tested and then come home and swap it all back over and that's every year unless you know the MOT guy (but I never said the last bit )
60chevyjim if you have any of the warning lights on then it's a fail over here too . The cost is £30 about $50 for a bike mot test Thanks donny it's a lot of hard work keeping it looking good Well the swop meet was ok I got a few parts for the truck Notice the missing part Problem solved after meeting up with Andy (uber cool ) I also got a heater matrix and a thermostat housing I also picked up some grease , some. Autosol and a polishing wheel for the drill Owning a Harley you use a lot of autosol , and at some point I need to polish the slot mags so the buffing wheel should help .

Re: Martin's mi-STRESS, 1965 Long Fleetside C10 "Rebuild in ENGLAND"
Some more C10 goodness.....
Wheels Day 2016. PHOTO LINK http://retrorides.proboards.com/thre...-day-2016-pics Once again a pleasure. Brilliantly done for charity every year. I took over 160 photos, and a couple of videos. And this year was brilliant for Nicola and I. Mate Martin went with us and then went to see a friend afterwards, on the way home we all met up with Kerry "Disasterbus" at Cobham services for a coffee. Always good to see friends. BONUS VIDEO....... Rather than post up all the photos, I will keep it relevant. This is how I dream of finishing my truck........ Load bed......... Hmmmmm, yum. A few other trucks and a panel were all the 60-66 C10's Ohhhh.... C20 And lastly, greetings from Disasterbus.

So tomorrow (Sunday) I will be in the garage back working on the truck . The weather doesn't look to good , so it may slow down the progress a little , but getting something done is better than non at all

Re: Martin's mi-STRESS, 1965 Long Fleetside C10 "Rebuild in ENGLAND"
Just a little update. I got some time in the garage over the Easter holiday . I had collected the prop from Andy two weeks ago , so it was time to clean it up change over the UJ's and the centre bearing. I had already purchased a billet alloy one from POL .
The two props together note more yellow paint Because the cab is in the garage at the moment getting to the vice is awkward . Luckily I have a pull out one in the back of the van . The centre bearing needed a small cut to be able to remove it All cleaned up ready for paint All painted ready to be reassembled Test fitted to the truck so that's why centre bearing picture shows bolts not fully fitted I only test fitted it , as I need to paint the auto box . Then fit the new sump pan to it and change the filter . I hope to do this soon , I am just waiting for Rian to return my engine stand so I can put the auto box on the stand . I also need to fit the flexplate and paint the crossmember I made .
