Re: PO has me PO'd
I bought a master/booster for a 72 3/4 ton 4X4 as the 3/4 tons have a dual diaphram booster and they allow the brakes on my 4X4 Blazer to work effortlessly vs the hard peddle I used to have, now it'll stop fast enough it feels like your eyes are going to pop out!? I can get a part number if that'll help ya?

Re: PO has me PO'd
Thanks for the hello...getting ready to go play with the wiring harness, anything new in your neck of the woods. That was a pretty massive tearout on your frame, is it fixilble.
I think I know the reason you're burning spark plug boots...

Re: PO has me PO'd
Bin in there since 4 AM, second pot of coffee! Sure is nice to walk down the steps and see the ol' girl waiting for me. Finally the heater is keeping up with the outside temps, gotta address that next season, LOL
This harness is the best... two minor issues

Re: PO has me PO'd
Used alum. thread serts to mount it up. Relays have tobe moved up about 1/2" to clear the cover plate. Rotated the Volt. Reg. CCW 90 degrees. I can see a future post complaining about the PO, and what kind of voltage regulater is this...
Still not sure if I have a handle on the BLOCK ASM SPL JUNC. mounted on the passenger side fender, per the factory wire diagram

I have been cutting, grinding, poking with a stick...etc. Still a little timid to dive in head first but I'm trying. I'm waiting on Jtrux to get his @ss to my place again to put my top back on. We didn't get it done over the weekend and I don't want to remove any more metal till it's bolted down.

I may have to put some heat sinks on the cover, heat and electronics don't do well in the same space. I'll wait and see if I blow relays. So as not to hold you up on the finished product, I'll cut out the clearance slot for the wires. I was going to post up on your thread not to cut to far as you need structual support on the B post. Don't be timid, jump in there and start, worst that can happen is you'll have to buy another patch. Best case, no more rust, and your door opens and closes correctly. I'll be looking over your shoulder... [quote=msgross;3200635] Quote:

If you allow for air flow and they don't get super hot, you should be fine. I have other covers you can have for 'test purposes' if you want em. |

Re: PO has me PO'd
Changed my mind, I'll mount a screen with a cover plate on top, since heat rises. Should make good air flow
Finally got the correct M/C Booster unit, now to paint and mount.... again!

Re: PO has me PO'd
Just spoke to M&H Elec. Fab. and was told it is correct to hook the red and black wire together on the stud of the block(ASM-SPL JUNC) mounted on the pass. side fender. The fused black wire(4 amp), with a white tracer on opposite side of truck, is to power up Ampere Gauge. Now to clean it up and antiseize the post
Soooo, this is the rare situation where red and black go together...confusion solved, onward Thanks for your help and time guys

Re: PO has me PO'd
Finally had the time to hang the correct rebuilt M/C Booster, I may have finally removed all of the PO's handywork...that only took about a month to fix the problem.
Before someone tells me my mounting nuts are loose, I'll tell you what happened. I bought 4 new locking nuts, I dropped one, and the garage ate it! So the bottom one that is on there is to remind me to get another one I'll probably have the cover plate Cadium plated later on. Also received my second set of utility seats from Low n' slow, his are in much better condition...Thank You Doug

Re: PO has me PO'd
Also finished up the bottom of the SS brake lines this mornin'...gotta find the last bracket for MC/ Booster in the parts pile. That could take awhile.
Todo list is getting shorter for start up
