Hey new to the forum, but avid long time reader... I realized all i have is old pics, my current state is not well photo documented! LOL!
I must say though, just thew my buddys 81 SWB in flat black and its tons better than the Electric Blue PPG that it was!!! I dig it! I dig the Buttons too, takes me back to thoughts of them burning my hind on the bench of my dads old 75 stepper! |

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds
Here's mine; rust free & almost finished. I told Smokedogg he would finish his before mine and I was right. Smokedogg Jr is enjoying his new ride.
I gotta install my distributor, plug wires, hide my fan wires and add oil. I also have new running lights and markers. Paint will be after X-mas. I am trying to decide between a nice classic black or hot rod flatz. I actually learned alot undoing all of the shadetree mods that were put on this truck. That and I am so meticulous about my vehicles running right. I am sure you guys noticed with all my questions. Sledge |

Sdavid, nice truck! So what kind of seats are those and can you provided a picture of the seat from the floor level, so that you can get a longer view of it, etc. You know how we can be when we see something diffirent.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds
Thanks for the compliments. I am not Stacey David, but I always think he might be a long lost cousin. My first name is Stan.
Not sure on the model or brand name of the seat. It is a fold down middle console type, but moves up and back like a solid bench. Last couple of pics I got of the seat: The seat will not go back as far as a stock bench will, so I got to look at that closer.

I would say that is exactly the kind of seat it is. Looks good, but nothing real fancy. One that you see at the swap meets, traders village, or the shops that sale tons of seats.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds
I guess that's what keeps me from trying harder to score one of these type seats. I always hear they don't go as far back as the stockers, but I need the legroom.

here are a few specs.... The engine is a 383 with Eagle 4340 forged crank, Crower 5.7 stroker sportsman rods, Arias blower pistons, Isky hyd cam, World Sportsman II heads, Weiand 671, BDS 8 nozzle electronic bug catcher controlled by FAST ecu, manual/reverse turbo 400, 3500 stall with trans brake, 12 bolt, 4:56,spooled, 4 link, moser axles,Wilwood disc brake kit, P255/16OR15 on convo pro 15x8 front/Hoosier Radials 31x18 on convo pro 15x14 rear and a whole lot of fun. It's not a racer, just something to get me from point A to point B and everywhere in between.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds
Hello new here, and this is one I've been working on for a few years now. 1980 with a 425 Cadillac / turbo 400 / Ford 9" pos-a-trac lowered 6" in front and 8" in the rear. Its still a drivable work in the process. Thanks! |

Where did you get those trim rings? Would they fit stock rally wheels? I vote for a stock themed blue and white paint job.
