went with the 31"....I measured my rad and the core alone is 28"x18"....almost 34" tank to tank.....

Hey John, I knew I wasn't having one of those moments. I found the details alluded to above. The 27" unit uses (2) 10" Spal fans moving 1112 cfm each and the 31" unit uses (2) 12" Spal fans moving 1630 cfm each. More air movement is a good thing don cha no!

picked up some steel today..got a sheet of 12ga, 2'x5', and a 4' chunk of 2x4" for $30 cash.....

got the motor out and cleaned up some of the mess, removed some junk and got a little welding done....still gotta do the other side but I didnt have enough steel to finish......

dropped right in like it was meant to be in there....lots of clearance all around, oil pan sits just above the crossmember with lots of room, could easily drop it another 1 1/2", but not going to...the headers fit like a glove...they dont hit anything, and are going to be just above the 2x4" in the frame, so when its lay'd out it wont be sitting on the headers.....
