Re: My 1952 truck.
Mind explaining how you did it? I have a stake pocket that is bent all to rat sh$t. With all the curves and radius's, looks tough to replicate.

Re: My 1952 truck.
Just go buy some 3/8" rod, cut and bend to the shape you want, weld the rod pieces to the existing pocket. Then cut flat 18 gauge pieces to fill in the holes. Flush on the sides and recessed on the top.

Re: My 1952 truck.
Thanks for the steps but how are you replicating the radius between on the top piece that it welded underneith to the 3/8" rod?

NP at all. I wondered if my explanation would be confusing. I understand the finishing where the side pieces attach to the 3/8" rod but it's the front curved piece I'm curious about. It would be welded to the 3/8" rods from behind. How are you creating the radius transition from the rods to the front sheet metal piece? I hope I'm explaining it so you understand what I'm talking about. |

Re: My 1952 truck.
Are you riveting the metal brackets to the glass? Or just grinding up the mating surfaces and glassing them? More pics of the console progress! Love it!!!

Re: My 1952 truck.
ssabmud, coming along nice. yeah a 15k sq ft house ahhh no thanks on that one. Cost of wood is ridiculous these days.
As for your pics. What you can try, (seeings you probably don't have a program on your computer to edit them) is open up your photos on your iphone then tap on a photo once. You will see in the upper right corner and edit button, tap that, then you will see a rotation arrow and you can rotate your images, then hit save. then try uploading it. Also are you uploading from your phone or computer?

Re: My 1952 truck.
maybe try rotating the picture the "opposite" way you want it on your phone and upload it, maybe it will rotate it to the way you really want it. worth a try, never uploaded from my phone so I dunno. Computer much easier.
