Re: Gene's shorty 4x4 conversion

Well, I have ran into the usual problems after installing new door weatherstripping, I have to slam them to get them to shut. They shut just fine before I changed the door rubber? Is there any way you guys know of to wear them faster?

Your shifter retainer ring looks new. Where did you get it at? I've been looking a little bit today with not much luck. I can find the boot, and I got my chrome shifter ordered, but no ring yet.

Thanks.

Sweet rig btw!!!

Re: Gene's shorty 4x4 conversion

Some progress, fired the engine up for the first time after re-wiring the entire truck, and my only boneheaded mistake was having my firing order off on all 8 cylinder because I forgot where #1 was located DOH!

Re: Gene's shorty 4x4 conversion

Pulled the truck outside to bleed the brakes and work on powersteering and I snapped a few pics. Still waiting on getting my front and back glass installed so I can get it back to my paint guy to colorsand and buff.

Thanks Shannon, don't know if I told you this but I really appreciate you sending me the throttle cable. It worked great and saved me some money at the same time.
