Re: Jimbo's 67 Long bed step side build

This is the angle piece that comes with the one piece window kit. It screws into the door A pillar. We decided to add this metal piece and weld to the post, to make a cleaner look, both inside and outside. If truck was painted this could not be done without repainting.

I like the way you work!!! You don't mess around and get right to it and get the job done! You even do the job really well.

I can't wait to see more progress on this.

Good job!

Not a drum, but a couple gallons. I like using the stuff, easier that POR, and does a good job. You'll see a lot more of it before I'm done

Re: Jimbo's 67 Long bed step side build

Had a wild night here in Missouri, but my neck of the woods was OK.
Pic 1 Back to the bed again, showing banged up inside of bed.

Pic 2 Another view, here you can see the years of banging things around and how bad the panel is. This will be addressed later in the build.

Re: Jimbo's 67 Long bed step side build

Pic 1 Got exhaust tubing the same size and cut away part of circle to match old rail curve.

Pic 2 Add metal, tack together and check fit.

Pic 3 Another view, here you can see the exhaust tube, and the 1/8" metal welded to the tailgate area.
