Re: '72 C/10 Custom Cruiser Project

On saturday, the bed came off of the truck. it was a lot easier (lighter) than thought it was going to be.

It went down to the body shop sunday morning.

Re: '72 C/10 Custom Cruiser Project

SHE HAS PAINT!!!

Well, the first two coats, but its color! this type of paint is better lay down all at once so they are only putting down the 1st 2 coats then when all of the parts are ready for paint, they will all be shot at the same time so they all match. anyway, I'm also going with white on the roof and below the bottom trim. here are some pics from yesterday

in the booth:

Out

fenders

others

and a comparison from new(on the jamb) to old (on the dash)

its pretty darn close!

all in all i am extremely happy so far!

Cam this must be very expensive having someone else do the body and paint work. You do have 1 rad looking truck

hey Jim, thanks for checking in. i have been good, and i do have updates to post on the truck. Lately i haven't been in the mood to think about the truck though. i had hoped for a completion date for early september for the adirondack nationals but my body guy decided that wasn't good for him so it doesn't look like it will be done this year. Anyway, i will get some photos up later today to get this thread up to date, i promise!
