anyway, sheet metal parts arrived, rust removal to commence soon

On saturday, the bed came off of the truck. it was a lot easier (lighter) than thought it was going to be.

It went down to the body shop sunday morning.

The color I'm going with is Hot Rod Flatz' Hugger orange

SHE HAS PAINT!!!

Well, the first two coats, but its color! this type of paint is better lay down all at once so they are only putting down the 1st 2 coats then when all of the parts are ready for paint, they will all be shot at the same time so they all match. anyway, I'm also going with white on the roof and below the bottom trim. here are some pics from yesterday

its pretty darn close!

all in all i am extremely happy so far!

whew buddy the hugger orange really pops on those curves all that metal work takes me back to last year with my dad bustin his butt to fix all the stock metal let's just say she's a bondo bucket ;D

The bed should be going for some work in a couple weeks, in the meantime ill get the truck home and start working on some other things!

Thanks man! yeah it does get expensive but it will look a lot better than if i did it.

hey Jim, thanks for checking in. i have been good, and i do have updates to post on the truck. Lately i haven't been in the mood to think about the truck though. i had hoped for a completion date for early september for the adirondack nationals but my body guy decided that wasn't good for him so it doesn't look like it will be done this year.

Anyway, i will get some photos up later today to get this thread up to date, i promise!
