Re: I think i can!!! - SWB 72 Step-side

Guys do you think there is a rehab for this addiction we all share, It would be cheaper! It seems like the longer I work on my P.O.S. the deeper into the addiction I fall. HAH!

I stated this build with no direction and now I found it. I want a pro-touring truck. What does this mean to me?

-Very low, not laying frame but very low!
-Much improved handling. Thanks to Make It Handle!!
-Improved steering
-4 wheel disk brakes & hydro boost
-Fast lots of torque
-Body mods mostly complete, need to build a cowl hood & shave drip rail.
-Wide tires

How?

I am thinking I will move the front crossmember forward 1" and raise it into the frame 2 ". For the upper control arm bracket, I will raise it up the same amount but only move it forward 1/2'' to gain additional caster from the CCP tubular control arms. Add a rack and pinion and the front should be done. In the rear I will Z the frame 2’’ and flip and move up rear trail arm bracket on crossmember. This will help lower ride height. The Improvements from the brakes will come from McGaughys 13" Front Brake Kit & rear Impala disk set up with a hydro boost from a 2003 chevy van.

I hope you guys have a happy Mothers Day!

Later

Re: I think i can!!! - SWB 72 Step-side

Install my blower this weekend & wow did I make a difference in the motor. With the blower on I can find out how much clearance I will have and if a need a cowl hood. When next weekend my brother and I will pull the truck down to the frame. I will add picture later.

Yes I did the front and rear brake earlier in the build just need to install the hydro boost. Im going to pull the truck down to the frame and build it back up. I found I really nice stock frame that I can buy and build, when just swap and sale mine. What you think? What you think a frame is worth?

Ordered my intake to install the blower last week. It's on back order for a month!!! Wtf

Re: I think i can!!! - SWB 72 Step-side

Not sure what it would be worth. To someone building a truck it would be helpful though

What intake you ordered?

Re: I think i can!!! - SWB 72 Step-side

Better get that thing on a dyno and find out what your air/fuel is. I would bring it to ragin racin before you pull it apart.

Re: I think i can!!! - SWB 72 Step-side

After reading some more info last night i found that i can not use the Fast EZ kit with a supercharger. That sucks.. I will have to use the Professional Products Powerjection III EFI system.

Anybody know anything about this one?
