Re: Post your 60-66 craigslist finds
That camper is VERY interesting. That style was called a chassis mount camper. There were several styles. The most interesting had a big glass sliding door at the back wall with a small porch. You could back right up to your favorite fishing spot. The 283 would get you by in OK or FL but, not in the hills.
Pretty cool and a good price. |

Re: Post your 60-66 craigslist finds
I looked at this one yesterday, and the guy posted it to CL today....
$5000. https://farmington.craigslist.org/cto/6058645241.html Everything looks good. A few spots on the body that need some TLC: one spot on the passenger quarter panel that was "repaired" and another on the tailgate where someone forgot to latch the gate before taking off. Has the 351e with Stromberg carb..... Feels a little high, but maybe.... Last edited by Magic 8ball; 03-26-2017 at 09:33 AM. Reason: Fixed picture. |

Re: Post your 60-66 craigslist finds
The listing says 3 speed auto, would this be a TH400? Any chance its a custom camper?

Here is a '64 project truck that looks to be worth the money. 4wd conversion.

Re: Post your 60-66 craigslist finds
It looked like an original auto column. I'd really like a Custom Camper, but It's close enough I may go look at it anyway.

1963 C20. Not mine. Pretty rough but might be good for parts.

Re: Post your 60-66 craigslist finds
You know, I really like that color combination.
You don't see it very often, white with the red stripe...but the contrast is pretty awesome in my book. Im gonna save these pics as a potential future color on my truck, still trying to make up my mind, but dang that looks good. |

Re: Post your 60-66 craigslist finds
Thanks....The truck looks to be all original except wheels and tires, exhaust....I am doing some research now to see how the truck actually came from the factory.
I am "Considering" putting a stepside bed on it....and will be doing a front disc brake conversion and adding A/C. The only issue with the truck is that the 3 spd tranny shutters a little bit on take off...I'm hoping it just needs a clutch pressure plate throw out bearing instead of a new tranny....Eventually I think I am gonna put a 700R4 Motor is supposedly a 327 but Ill have to get the casting numbers to make sure. |

Re: Post your 60-66 craigslist finds
Found a 1965 C30 panel converted to bus by Novelty Carriage Works in Spokane. Still all original except seats. And fiberglass covering the cancer.
I was the first to show up, and of course bought it. It was on CL for 3 days. A guy showed up from Montana just after I bought it. It might be a one off rig. Sorry, I don't know how to put a picture here. It is on my profile. |

Re: Post your 60-66 craigslist finds
6 original miles ala Lambrecht collection. It got a bath, but kinda pricey and low-mile to already have a roof that looks like someone dropped a cinder block on it. Rut Roh, bet someone lost their allowance over that one. But I guess they're only original once...
