I hope it serves you well. I'm thinking about pulling that big block from that 64 and saving it for a rainy day. Where do you think tearapart got that cherry 69? I never saw an ad on ksl or Craigslist.

Are you talking about the red one we've been picking on? It's a '70. It was in the holing yard for a couple weeks. May have been towed, and the poor guy couldn't afford the fees, or it was maybe a guy that died and the family had the yard come pick it up.

I was wondering how long it would take before someone grabbed that tailgate. That would have been the first part I pulled.

Re: Check out this fresh peach that was newly added to the junk yard

I was at the yard today. Can you believe this is all that's left of this same exact truck, after us Chevy rats had our way with it? We're like American Indians after a buffalo kill. Nothing goes to waste (well, except that one lonely door to the side lol)

Re: Check out this fresh peach that was newly added to the junk yard

I still see a lot of good stuff left there. I wonder what is wrong with the door? Even if it is junk, there are good parts on it.

If you go back before it is gone, pluck the distributor for me and see if the factory coil bracket is still there. also the bolts and dist hold down too.

Let me know the price and I will paypal you the cash.

Thank's A.J and have a Happy Easter.

Re: Check out this fresh peach that was newly added to the junk yard

That's awesome that all the parts are being used. I know the idea of someone buying it and restoring or driving it is cool, but sometimes we need parts, and o.g. stuff from another truck fits the best, and is affordable. Plus, as many places as all that stuff went, that truck will be on the road for a long time! Cool story, Thanks Mister B!

I'm glad someone got that bed and cab before it was crushed. I have a thing or two off of it.

I'd rather see it get stripped down and reused than sent to the crusher...But would have made a nice truck 4 someone...

I hope you meant you are going there Monday, correct? What time are you thinking you will go (your time)? I will call you to discuss. You will need a 9/16 and a 1/2 wrench and a 11/32 or 3/8 for the coil wires.

Thank a lot A.J. I appreciate it very much.
Tom

No, I meant Sunday (today), but now that I think about it, I better call them to make sure they're open since its a holiday weekend

If they're closed, I should be able to go Monday. I'll text or call you to coordinate

You guys are like a bunch of buzzards.

What happens when you see something setting on the side of the road? Set back and count to 50 before FLYING in for the kill?

Just joking guys. You needed a good laugh.

I think you have to wait at least 3 days to strip an abandoned vehicle

On second thought, maybe that's before you can shoot it full of holes

Re: Check out this fresh peach that was newly added to the junk yard

Well I have to say that the buzzards were back at it and took a little more of what is left of the '70 pick up.

I got the distributor and the coil bracket thanks to Mister-B.

I am going to convert it to a pertronix system and keep the original look.

Thank's again A.J, I owe you one.
