Re: 1953 Extended Cab

Wow! 335's, really?

Sorry, coming late to your thread but VERY impressed with your abilities for sure. Your truck is gonna be fantastic.

My '55.2 is in the shop with a '57 that's an over-the-top, 1000, twin turbo monster and it's got 315's in the rear but get this: They fit without tubs! The shop is telling me I can put the same on my stock LQ4 6.0 build with no problem but I think I'll go with 275's or possibly 295's. There's no way I need that much rubber.

I noticed a lot of discussion earlier in the thread about engine room space and I am running the stock truck serpentine system and mechanical fan. There's room without modifying the firewall but it is close.

Cant wait to see how yours turns out.

Re: 1953 Extended Cab

It's great how much rubber you can fit under these trucks. I have a 66 mustang with around 700hp. Running 295's on it.

I know Pete & HED. Top notch work there. Are you doing all the body work yourself? Very nice build. Looking forward to seeing this done.

It's a group effort. Started out as a hobby and now we build a few a year. Throwback Custom Cars
