Had 2 check back in and admire the progress, which there has been a boat load. Seeing the inside of the wheels above would be nice.

I am also trying to make decisions on initial wheel and tire setup and would like opinions on this idea. As mentioned earlier I have a nice set of factory '68 dogdish hubcaps that I'd like to run on this concept initially, i will probably have a set of 18/20 billets on here down the road.

My original plan was to mini-tub the bed(~5" tub) and run 15x7/15x10 steelies painted body color with a fairly wide and sticky rear tire on the rear (325/50/15 Mickey Thompson ET Street Drag Radials?) but these have my proverbial wheels turning.

Circle Racing 108 Series in 18x8 and either 18x11 or 20x9.5 with some wider tire in the 29" tall range. I think I would either paint the centers or the entire wheel. I should add that none of these options will have a really deep look, as I'm running a stock width '68 rearend converted to 5 lug. I will order wheels with appropriate backspace to fit the tires under the fenders.

Thoughts?
This is the best pic I've found of this wheel. I would paint yhem either white or silver, depending on my paint color.

Re: '68 COPO Concept - Vulgar Display of Power

Not alot of progress lately, but I did stumble across a Doug Nash Overdrive unit at Petit Jean Swap Meet. It bolts in place of the T400 tail shaft housing, has .80 OD gear ratio, can be controlled electrically through a switch, and is rated up to 35,000 GVW vehicles. I think it will be a nice addition that will allow me to run 3.73 axle gears and still cruise comfortably on the highway.

I guess there was a time when Gear Vendors didn't completely own the add on overdrive market. What a great find. Vintage parts are good parts.

Another thing about that unit that you'll appreciate is that when it is cleaned, sealed back up, all new switches, harness, etc...I will be into it for less that the core charge on a 4L80. Not bad in my opinion!

Cab looks great. Do you have any advise on spraying the lizard skin? I have it sitting on the shelf waiting to spray on my cab.

The Lizard Skin sprayed out really easy. I used the gun that comes with the kit. After a little adjustment to get the texture like we wanted, there was nothing to it.
