Re: Trucks Working
The wood in the Chevy was wet and weighed a lot the ford was filled with the dry stuff. Really couldn't fill it much; the ford now sits 4in lower in the back because i overloaded it. And when i first got that ford the Chevy towed it home because it broke down on the way.

Re: Trucks Working
here we are dragging out a junk 48 ford pick up for restoration . it was sunk pretty good in the dirt so started by tugging it out . then attached a chain through the trailer to load it up . works pretty good when you dont have a winch.

Re: Trucks Working
Thank you, my friend took the pictures with his Droid phone.
That's the previous owner of the CUCV, he pretty much only owns surplus vehicles. He ran rear flag car as we went through town.

Re: Trucks Working
Thanks 79gmcclassic for the compliment! Unfortunately the pictures make it look a little better than it is. For 235K miles it's held up really well. Still a great driver but the list is long to get it where I want it. Just rebuilt the original tranny this fall and will be replacing the motor this spring. No issues with either one but time for a little more HP.
