Re: Please post pictures of your C10 w/US Mags Rambler rims
Curious for those that have these wheels.... How do the front 'center cap' area of the wheel attach? Are they actually part of the wheel or an actual cap?

Where exactly are you needing to grind the center hub? Is it on the area closest to the mounting surface or all the way out by the dust cap or the whole hub?

285/40/20's on the rear. 255/40/20's on the front.
68 rear end so I'm running 1" spacers in the rear. Running POL tubular front a-arms and I think I could run 275/40's in the front. |

Question, on their website, they only list the 5 bolt setup however on other resellers, they have the 6 lug setup listed. Any idea why?

Re: Please post pictures of your C10 w/US Mags Rambler rims
Bringing this post back from the dead but I’m looking at purchasing these wheels…anyone try to fit one of the 20x9.5 wheels (5.25 BS) that typically get put on the rear up front? Curious if I can fit a 275mm wide tire on all 4 corners with that wheel. It’s going to be dropped somewhere around a 4/6. When I look at the 29” tall 235s on their now it looks like tons of room…where do the front tires usually hit when they do?

That being said, 275's on 9.5's are definitely possible up front. The back space numbers will depend on the set-up.

Looks like summit has all these sizes in stock surprisingly, so I think I am just going to be buy a single pair of the 20x9.5s which I know I will be using in the rear, mount them on some 275/40/20s and then put them on front just to see how/if they fit. On a somewhat related note, I have a shorter 68 rearend in my C10 and was just going to use 3/4 spacers to push the rear wheels out but I noticed that it seems (for whatever reason) that the "universal spacers" from, say, Allstar Performance, and a number of other companies that work for 5x4.5, 5x4.75 and 5x5 have the 5x5 holes drilled out for 5/8 studs (while the other bolt patterns are all for 1/2 studs). Can't figure out why they do this, but what are all you guys using for spacers as I imagine the larger holes on 1/2 studs would create issues. |

Re: Please post pictures of your C10 w/US Mags Rambler rims
Seems like most of the inexpensive cast wheels are designed with the later wider rear end in mind. Just about all approximately 10 inch wheels have approximately 5.5 inch backspacing, which works great with the wider rear end, but sucks on the narrower one.
I have a 68 with the narrower rear end and was going to end up with spacers because the tires were going to rub the bed wheelhouse. The narrower rear would be great if I was having $$$$ custom wheels made. I could get super deep dish, but that's not in the budget. |

Re: Please post pictures of your C10 w/US Mags Rambler rims
Yea there’s no way I’m getting away without a spacer of some sort if I don’t want them tucked oddly in the wheel well. Trust me I’ve looked-no one makes a 1 piece as cast wheel in 20” diameter in the 10” wide range with a 4.5 or so backspacing. So your talking custom wheels (over $1000 EACH) or, the best I have found is rocket wheels which has an attack style wheel that looks fairly cool with 4.5 BS on a 20x10 but it’s $525 + each, which is still nearly double these rambler wheels.
I’m not too concerned about running spacers- what horror stories I’ve been able to even confirm typically are 3 party “I’ve heard this happen” claims utilizing chinese junk spacers with junk China or 40 year wheel studs (these will be run on new moser axles with 1/2 moser studs of the appropriate length). I don’t even think they get into the bolt on adapters/spacers until 1 1/4 inch anyways which is too much. Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Please post pictures of your C10 w/US Mags Rambler rims
Hmmm…I will have to take a look. I got some spacers coming from Allstar Performance that get great reviews on all the websites but I’ll have to see how comfortable I am with them.
Back to the first question- 20x9.5s rims (5.25 BS) with 275mm wheels in front, what do you guys think? Some basic measurements at full lock Make me feel like it should (emphasis on should) work. I think I’m going to buy a pair for the back and see where I am in front. Looks like the back end of the tire when at full lock on the lower control arm is going to be the close spot. Cc69rat- I’m not interested in the chrome versions, but just curious how the 295 and 255 options fit on those size rims? From what I have seen, the manufacturers recommend a max of 285mm tire on a 9.5 rim. Do they bulge out at all on the sidewall?

Re: Please post pictures of your C10 w/US Mags Rambler rims
295 is 11.61" wide. A 9.5 " wide wheel as you buy it is actually measured from the inside of one bead of the wheel to the other inside edge. The wheel itself edge to edge is actually 10.5" wide overall.
So.. 11.61-10.5 ÷2 Yes, there is some "bulge" but it's not crazy. Maybe .5 -.6" or so I personally dont like a wheel that's wider than the tire or the tread width overall, but to each their own. 295/40r20 on a 9.5 wheel. Hope this helps.

Looks killer on a square too. I'm just going with Forgelines on my 67. I'm sure there will be other trucks,.. I can just keep the USMags. No worries.

Re: Please post pictures of your C10 w/US Mags Rambler rims
That looks pretty damn good to me. I stumbled onto “wheels for less” internet website (wheels for less.com)which sells the nitto g2s 295 and 255 already mounted onto the 20” ramblers for a price which is probably $400 less than I could buy them myself separate and have a tire shop mount them. Anyone ever heard or used them?
