Re: How about some pics of 2wd Blazers, Jimmy's & Burbs?

its got a 4:11 rear end so I ditched the 3 speed and put in a 700R4, its much better on the highway now. Its my daily driver all spring summer and fall. I've driven it down to the USA and halfway across Canada and its never let me down. Its got about 6" of notch in the rear frame, 8 way valves, truck horn... I hope to get a wider set of rims for the back, thinking about a porterbuilt crossmember, and I'd like to get around to a full convertible conversion (I have a top and windshield frame from a 73) I changed the grill out for a 73, and someone told me that my hood wasn't a 76, I'd like to put a fuel cell in so I dont keep going through gas tanks doh! Also like to put in a york compressor.

Re: How about some pics of 2wd Blazers, Jimmy's & Burbs?

I dug up some old pics of my first suburban. I bought it the way it looks in the pics. I was a hack job, i was 18 at the time and didn't know what got. I traded a perfectly good 85lwb stock truck because the suburban had a new crate motor, speed shifting tranny bagged etc. after a short time I realized what I got was a hacked motor that wasn't hooked up to the speedo. the bags were helper bags ontop of the leafs which was a flip kit with no cnotch. there were only 2 front bucket seats the rest of interior was gone. it leaked gas all the time since it sat so low it bottomed out all the time. needless to say I quickly got rid of the beast after the driveshaft fell off on the highway and a semitruck ran over it, made me sell fast.

Re: How about some pics of 2wd Blazers, Jimmy's & Burbs?

Heres what my Blazer looked like before bags.. Had an axle flip, and spindles and one and a half loops off the coils. Got sick of dodging man hole covers, smackin my gas tank, rubbing my 15" wheels on my control arms and bouncing my control arms in the ruts.. mmm.. baaags, happy times!

I emailed the guy a few times about that one but he didn't really answer any of my questions and I got a "sketchy" vibe?
It got down to a good price though.

I called him and he was up front. The price was right on. Everythings tight and runs super strong. Great find. I was looking for a K5 or S 10. I like the K5's better!

Hello all, new to the forum. Lots of good info here. This is a Blazer I picked up last month, needs some work but I think it is a pretty good start.

Re: How about some pics of 2wd Blazers, Jimmy's & Burbs?

Mr. Life99, Just bought it and now driving it to familiarize myself with it. Runs strong, stops good, and shifts smoothly. I'm satisfied with this purchase. I like this forum. This community is similiar to the Vdub scene. ( I have a 61 bug). Thanks for the props tho!
