I still have the yellow truck that Dennis helped me with. I have the two blue 77's also. As for my son.....well he decided he was a Cummins man and thats the only reason we sold the red truck. We bought my wife's grandpa's 97 12 valve four wheel drive extended cab. He has added 4" stainless exhaust , fuel plate, home built air intake, and a gov spring kit. Lifted the front 2" with a leveling kit and added 35" Nittos on black Rockstars. He bought a ranch hand grille gaurd and had it re powder coated. He just started on the stereo and added a cb radio. It's different than anything I ever owned but it's his and how he wants it so i let him pick his mods. Both of my boys love it so I know what my 13 yr old will be looking for. My youngest is looking at a cummins conversion on a 1999 single cab 4x4 ford super duty. He keeps shoving info in front of me on it and how we could do the conversion. I think we will just find another dodge. Keep up the good work and thanks for doing it. Frank Posted via Mobile Device

Re: 1987 swb
Hey squaredaway - how's it going? I'm new to this site (As a member). Beautiful Truck! I just picked up a Blue 87 SWB. I want to do a 5/7 drop, but was wondering if you had to remove the factory bump stops or if you ever had any weight on the back forcing the frame to hit. Let me know - if you have any pictures of your flip kit, even better. Thanks Bro!

Re: 1987 swb
No Problem, man. It's all good. I just checked out Bigarmz post to get a better idea of your drop. That stance is killer. Ima do the same drop, but with a notch.

Re: 1987 swb
I'm happy to give this update...
I'm getting out of Korea early it seems! I'm getting stationed at Fort Polk, LA, so I'll have this old girl on the road before August! I'm really excited, I haven't seen this truck since October 2011. |

Thanks, Keith. Actually, it would be quadruplets!!! Fan2zee's truck is pretty much an identical twin and BigArmZZ bought that truck after he sold mine to Frank Monroe. Of course, you know the story of yours! haha Good job building all of them! Last edited by squaredaway; 03-26-2013 at 09:35 AM. Reason: . |

Re: 1987 swb
In October I will probably taking her down to Cruisin The Coast in Gulf Port, MS.... Not extremely far from Fort Polk... Our trucks are old enough to drive in.

Re: 1987 swb
Thanks, Justin! I've enjoyed watching the tweaks you've made to yours. You are extremely lucky to have such a gorgeous truck with sentimental ties.
Thanks, brother! Quote:
BTW: Mama's not gonna let me get rid of the truck, even if I wanted to. She loves it. She's an Appalachian girl... Man, y'all grow 'em right... Last edited by squaredaway; 05-22-2013 at 05:35 AM. Reason: . |
