Today I spent almost 6 hours compounding, polishing, waxing, and detailing this big beast. It's smooth as glass now and has zero swirls or scratches. I'm hoping tomorrow I can find the time to get the interior cleaned.

Re: The Big Blue BEAST project

So im putting the lift on hold for now and have decided to drop a slightly modified 355 into the burban.

Come next week ill be the proud owner of a 355 with a bolt main block, .030 over, 60cc head with 2.02 exhaust valves, 2.02 intake valves, 1.60 exhaust valve, 170cc intake ports, dual valuve springs, screw in rocker studs, 1.6 roller rockers, hardened pushrods, open too chrome k&n air intake, Cam specs: duration 235 249... 546 565 lift.. 108lsa, eldelbrock dual plane intake, 750 carb, and forged rods / flat top pistons with valve relief. Only miles on the engine are the idle, test / tune, and dyno.

Dyno sheet says it made 453hp to the crank wonder what it will make with a small turbo???

I will also be upgrading from my stock 7004r to a new 7004r with corrvette servos, HD sunshade, jw performance bell, 3200 stall, redline clutch w/ stage two clutch kit, and a few other odds and ins.

Here is a rough idea as to what my built 355 looks like. Soon everything will be painted a black and be ready to drop in

Re: The Big Blue BEAST project

I know its not a 4x4 nor is it Burban related but it's still fun to drive.

2014 Chevy Cruze RS LTZ

List of mods I'd like to have done are:
E-85 tune
Upgraded down pipe
Upgraded waste gate
Upgraded blow off valve
Cold air intake
Full exhaust
Projector / led headlights
Led tail lights
Turn signal side markers
Turn signal mirrors

I've been told 200hp should be obtainable with 30+ mpg

Re: The Big Blue BEAST project

Managed to get a little work done last night.

Im going to drop everything off with the builder tonight. Hopefully he can get everything installed on the new engine tonight. I still need to pull the burbans engine, clean and degrease the engine bay, paint the engine bay, paint the pulleys, and finish the install.

I know it's not Burban related but here is just one of the many projects that's been taking up my time.
