Re: In the body shop

Why did he close up the original holes from the body moldings?

Re: In the body shop

Because the guy I bought it from not only used the original body molding holes but added a whole bunch more with self tapping screws and it was horrible so I decided to cover them all up see what it looks like and if I want to add body moldings I will re drill the holes and add them...... if you look inside the truck with the original body moldings holes were you can still see the Weld marks so it's easy to re drill those holes

Re: In the body shop

Oh cool. Mine didn't have any original holes and it seemed like a pain in he butt. We did the same by adding a few extra screws and used the double sided tape strips the kit came with. Not perfect but looks good to me.

Well brother if it looks good to you that's all that matters remember you are your own worst critic but I'm glad to hear that the double stick tape comes with the kit......do you mind me asking you where did you get the kid from I saw one on LMC truck but it did not say anything about double-sided tape if it comes with double-sided tape I'm all in

Re: In the body shop

I got mine from Brothers. They all come with some double sided tape. As well as 3 other types of retainers and screws. It's all how they were originally installed from the factory.

Re: In the body shop

I'm waiting for my chrome and silver GM grille to replace this swap meet one i picked up so it will stay in there until I receive my new grill.. I also have to install the rear bumper which I believe I can do today I think I will try to put all the new window rubber and vent windows in tomorrow. I picked some rims for it 22 inch but I am building on the budget so I have to wait 2 to 3 months before I can get the rims.... some people out there just got it like that sponsors and such I wish that was me but unfortunately that is not the case

I was diggin' the white wall look.... Anything past about 17" and it seems you start losing too much sidewall. Which to me changes the look, but that's just personal preference really and to each their own.

But, I speak for many on here when I say GET IT TOGETHER AND OUT IN THE SUN FOR A PHOTO OP!
Maybe get that cute girl down the street to lean on it as well. Just a suggestion.

Beautiful!

Is that a factory bench that you modified, or did you use a later model bench seat for the upholstery shop to re-cover?
