I love it, easy to take care of and clean. And not quite as expensive as real leather.

That is one bad ass truck. I'm in the process of installing Porterbuilt mild dropmember (front & rear) on my 69. Glad you posted those pics of your truck. I've been looking for pics to see how it was going to sit. You have any more?

I don't really have anymore for now. I put it back in the shop. Still gotta finish the 6.0 install, retire, and 2 piece driveshaft. I'll post some more soon as possible

Wow Wade. That thing is awesome! When is it gonna come to town? We need to take a cruise. Now I wish I would've went bigger with my wheels.

I just need to stop changing stuff on it. It's a sickness I've developed, I guess.

I appreciate all the nice compliments. Thanks to you all.

I have to know more. Please post pics, and details of your install. How much did you raise the bed floor? Whats it look like under the hood?

Re: My 72 with 405/25/24's

Man I love that setup, ive got lots of questions about how you were able to fit a large rear tire. Bags are the way I want to go, but I still want to be able to run a large rear tire. Ive read what you had to do, but mind explaining it a little more, so maybe I can understand? Im new to the whole bag thing so im still trying to learn haha

Re: My 72 with 405/25/24's

My rear bags are mounted directly to the frame with no brackets. I'm using 3" blocks between the axles and trailing arms. I raised the wood floor in the bed
4 3/4" and widened the wheel tubs 5". The rear end was narrowed a total of 11". Also using porterbuilt track bar.

Re: My 72 with 405/25/24's

At the time they were, and it worked. But I wanted lower which changes everything. I now have a 2X4 back half with porterbuilt trailing arms and 24X15 trailing arm crossmember now.

Wow that's awesome. I know now why you were sweating bullets hoping everything would fit. If you were to ask most people with any knowledge they would say it's not going to work. You're determination shows it is possible to fit 10 pounds of taters in a 5 pound bag.

Looks great! What did you use for upper shock mounts with the step notch?

Re: My 72 with 405/25/24's

I welded some 2" square tubing between the step notches, then bought some generic mounting tabs and welded them to the 2" square tubing in front. Just raising the factory location at the top.

Do you have pics from the front fenders?

Re: My 72 with 405/25/24's

You would only need to modify them if you want to go lower, I did, a little. Used trailer fenders and bolted them in. Looks like you've got a nice truck!
